Spinner Die 3 11 and Thrust Die 11 during operation Severe pinch haz ard exists at these areas during operation To Disassemble Break the Chain 1 For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 Fit the chain to the correct notch on the Anvil 2 Be sure the rivet lines up under the hole in the bottom of the slot in the Anvil Position the Anvil 2 and chain di rectly under the Breaker Punch 19 Lower the Breaker Lever 3 to lower the Breaker Punch 19 onto the rivet Be sure the Breaker Punch is centered on the rivet and the rivet is centered over the hole in the bottom of the Anvil Pull down on the Breaker Lever 3 to drive the rivet out of the chain If the rivet binds recheck the align ment of all parts Apply a small amount of penetrating oil Retry driv ing the rivet out of the chain When the rivet has been driven out remove the chain from the Anvil 2 Check for any damage to the links To Reassemble Spin the Chain 1 Select either the Large or the Small Spinner and Thrust Dies 11 and 12 and insert into the Spinner Sleeve 10 and Thrust Handle 13 respec tively Always use a matched set of dies do not mix sizes Apply a small amount of light grease to the rivet Insert the rivet into place loosely assembling the chain Drape the chain over the Guide Wheels 4 to hold it in place for spin ning The position of the wheels can be adjusted using the Wheel Lo

7. cking Screws 5 Be sure the rivet is cen tered on the Dies Page 5 4 Rotate the Thrust Handle 13 clock wise until the chain rivet is held against the Spinner Die 11 5 Check again to be sure the rivet is lined up with the Dies and the open ings in the chain links 6 Apply a small amount of oil to the faces of the Dies 11 and 12 7 Turn the Spinner Handle 7 clock wise to begin forming the rivet head At the same time slowly turn the Thrust Handle 13 to keep the rivet centered and provide resistance to the pressure applied by the Spinner Die 8 Once the rivet head is formed turn both the Spinner Handle 7 and Thrust Handle 13 counterclockwise to release the chain 9 Check the rivet to be sure is is prop erly formed Check the chain to be sure it is not damaged and moves freely MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING Mn not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician SKU 99835 For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 AWARNING TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM TOOL FAILURE Do not use damaged equipment If abnormal noise or binding occurs have the problem corrected before further use Cleaning Maintenance and Lubrication 1 BEFORE EACH USE inspect the general condition of the Tool Check for loose screws misalignment or binding of moving parts cracked or broken parts and any other condition that may affect its safe operati
