1. ti16522a Part 24J692 24H366 16P667 24G609 24H362 24H363 Description Lid with seals Reservoir liners 5 G2 adapter plate for use with models 16N657 16M886 16N664 16N665 16N666 16N668 16N669 16N670 Hose set velcro strap Back pack Air compressor with 9V battery Air compressor switch Hose set Drain hose Suction hose 3A1292C Before You Start Before You Start The ProPack Portable Spray Pack is shipped with a bat tery inside the air compressor which must be connected before operation 1 Remove contents from backpack including any packing materials 2 Remove air compressor from reservoir lid ti17593a 4 Remove 9V alkaline battery and remove shipping seal from battery terminals ti17825a 5 Pull battery connector out of air compressor EZ T ti17591a 3A1292C 6 Connect battery and place inside air compressor ti17595a ti17824a 8 Turn on power switch to test battery red LED light should turn on ti17596a Setup Instructions 1 Perform Pressure Relief Procedure see sprayer manual 2 Remove sprayer battery or unplug sprayer ti15504a 4 Align hose set adapter A with sprayer inlet B and insert into sprayer Thread hose set adapter ring until tight 5 Place liner optional into reservoir and fill with material ti16506a 6 Install suction tube and strainer t

AUTION System is now pressurized Failure to properly depressurize system will result in material discharging from hose and possible injury Always turn off and slowly remove air compressor from lid assembly to depressurize system before removing e Hose set from sprayer e Hose set from lid e Lid from reservoir ti16510a Clean up Power Flush This procedure is for water based architectural paints and coatings only 4 CAUTION System is pressurized Failure to properly depressur ize system will result in material discharging from hose and possible injury Always turn off and slowly remove air compressor from lid assembly to depressurize system before removing Hose set from sprayer Hose set from lid Lid from reservoir Turn air compressor switch off and slowly remove air compressor from lid assembly J ti16510a Remove suction hose and drain hose from lid assembly ti16505a Connect suction hose nut to faucet or garden hose Put the prime relief valve in the up position on the sprayer then turn on water supply and run water through system while squeezing trigger until clear water comes out end of drain hose For best results use hot water ti16513a Clean up Power Flush NOTE Be sure to aim the drain hose into a waste container when squeezing trigger to prevent spilling water and material If the drain hose is not thoroughly cleaned it can become plugged due to paint bui

6. ably on lower back and still allow enough free movement to easily operate equipment Shoulder Straps To tighten Pull down on shoulder straps to tighten around shoulders and back il To loosen Lift up on plastic tabs to loosen shoulder straps Clean up Non Power Flush Belt Strap Pull belt straps to tighten around waist Hose Set Strap Once backpack is comfortable and secure route hose set over shoulder and fasten velcro straps over hoses to hold them in place ti17823a 3A1292C Troubleshooting Troubleshooting Problem Cause Solution Sprayer loses prime or poor spray pat tern Low material level Incorrect priming procedure Refill reservoir and re pressurize Place back pack on floor hold sprayer at approximately chest level and prime sprayer until material just begins to fill the drain hose approximately 1ft Prime sprayer for approximately 20 seconds to ensure no air is trapped in the line Fittings not tight and leaking air No or low pressure in reservoir Turn off and slowly remove air com pressor Tighten connections on sprayer adapter hose fittings and res ervoir lid Replace 9V battery in air compressor Remove and reinstall reservoir lid Sprayer adapter not properly installed Relieve pressure remove sprayer adapter and reinstall Make sure there are no air leaks Install new hose set Missing gasket
7. e With the exception of any special extended or limited warranty published by Graco Graco will for a period of twelve months from the date of sale repair or replace any part of the equipment determined by Graco to be defective This warranty applies only when the equipment is installed operated and maintained in accordance with Graco s written recommendations This warranty does not cover and Graco shall not be liable for general wear and tear or any malfunction damage or wear caused by faulty installation misapplication abrasion corrosion inadequate or improper maintenance negligence accident tampering or substitution of non Graco component parts Nor shall Graco be liable for malfunction damage or wear caused by the incompatibility of Graco equipment with structures accessories equipment or materials not supplied by Graco or the improper design manufacture installation operation or maintenance of structures accessories equipment or materials not supplied by Graco This warranty is conditioned upon the prepaid return of the equipment claimed to be defective to an authorized Graco distributor for verification of the claimed defect If the claimed defect is verified Graco will repair or replace free of charge any defective parts The equipment will be returned to the original purchaser transportation prepaid If inspection of the equipment does not disclose any defect in material or workmanship repairs will be made at a reasonable

9. o inside of lid be sure to align center of strainer with center of reser voir lid Install reservoir lid to reservoir and hand tighten Before You Start 7 Thread suction hose nut S onto lid assembly and hand tighten Insert drain hose H onto lid assembly barb and secure with clamp ti16515a 8 Install sprayer battery or plug sprayer into a properly grounded outlet 9 Place reservoir on floor install and turn on air com pressor P Hold sprayer at approximately chest level and prime sprayer until material just begins to fill the drain hose approximately 1 ft ti16504a Suction Hose Drain Hose ti16509a 3A1292C Before You Start 10 Place reservoir into backpack NOTE The air com pressor always needs to be on while the sprayer is in operation if the light is on the air compressor is on If fluid level is at half or less allow up to 2 min utes for reservoir to pressurize before initial use 11 Pull strap until reservoir is firmly secured into back pack ___ ti16521a 12 Close prime valve on sprayer ti15425a 3A1292C 13 Place backpack system on operator You are now ready to spray NOTE If the tip needs to be changed while spraying be sure to follow Pressure Relief Procedure see sprayer manual Turn air compressor off and slowly remove from lid assembly This will ensure pressure is released from reservoir before changing the tip AC
