14. the product the All oven racks and the convection roasting rack may be cleaned by hand with an abrasive cleaner or steel wool After cleaning rinse the racks with clean water and dry with a clean cloth Gray porcelain coated oven racks including the offset rack may remain in the oven during the self cleaning cycle without being damaged The convection roasting rack and nickel plated oven racks including the offset rack may remain in the oven during the self cleaning cycle but they will lose their luster and become hard to slide It will be necessary to grease all oven rack side edges with a light coating of vegetable oil after cleaning them by hand or in the oven This will help maintain the ease of sliding the racks in and out of the oven Do not use a steel wool pad it will scratch the surface To clean the stainless steel surface use warm sudsy water or a stainless steel cleaner or polish Always wipe the surface in the direction of the grain Follow the cleaner instructions for cleaning the stainless steel surface After broiling remove the broiler pan from the oven Remove the grid from the pan Carefully pour out the grease from the pan into a proper container Wash and rinse the broiler pan and grid in hot water with a soap filled or plastic scouring pad If food has burned on sprinkle the grid with detergent while hot and cover with wet paper towels or a dish cloth Soaking the pan will remove burned on foods
