Clean the racks with an abrasive cleanser or scouring pad After cleaning rinse the racks with clean water and dry with a clean cloth The control knobs may be removed for easier cleaning Make sure the knobs are in the Off positions and pull them straight off the stems for cleaning The knobs can be cleaned in a dishwasher or they may also be washed with soap and water Make sure the insides of the knobs are dry before replacing Replace the knobs in the Off position to ensure proper placement Metal parts can be cleaned with soap and water Do not use steel wool abrasives ammonia acids or commercial oven cleaners Dry with a soft cloth If the racks ever become hard to slide wipe the rack edges or oven rack supports with vegetable oil NOTE Take the racks out of the oven before you begin the self clean cycle or they may discolor Heavy Duty Oven Racks on some models Clean the racks with an abrasive cleanser The oven racks may be cleaned in the self cleaning oven However the racks will darken in color lose their luster and become hard to slide if cleaned during the self cleaning cycle Oven Light Replacement A CAU TI ON Before replacing your oven light bulb disconnect the electrical power to the range at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel Be sure to let the light cover and bulb cool completely The oven light bulb is covered with a removable glass cover that is held in place with a bail
