21. capraia rata vou like 10 umm Compressor rete can oniy be for polar images Compresgpgn Fr ___ Cn morer on 3 Fila Luo NENNEN Ense High Coen pees rari High Carmgrernen all dzcurrariz arn zcanrad in Compression rate Control the compression rate to specify the size of the file for the scanned image The compression rate is controlled by moving the slider bar The larger the compression rate number is specified the higher the compression rate is set and the smaller the file size becomes When the compression rate is increased the quality of scanned images deteriorates Enable High Compression When this checkbox is marked the compression rate increases compared to the ordi nary compression mehtod and the file sizes becomes even smaller ATTENTION This function compresses characters and backgrounds on the docu ment separately So using this function on the document which con tains almost text characters the file size becomes smaller while leaving the characters as they are Meanwhile this function is not appropriate for scanning photographs or figures because such draw ings are recognized as background and compressed as such so the qualities of such images will deteriorate 3 4 Changing Scan Settings About the
