3. dBV unbalanced lines The 5030 has eight input and eight output line amplifiers In addition there are two banks of switches on rear panel One bank is for adjusting the polarity of XLR connector at the same time inputs and outputs For best results please be sure that polarity is correct by using these switches The second bank of switches is for changing the nominal level These switches are only effective between unbalanced inputs and outputs With these switches you may choose between 6dBV or 10dBV Please set these switches according to your needs Connections Connecting the 5030 is a straight forward procedure There are only a few important points to remember First make all connections while the power is off to the 5030 Second make your connections according tothe numbers on the back Inother words if you connect to the number one XLR 3 31 input connect the corre sponding RCA pin jack to the number 1 output When connecting an RCA pin jack to for example the number 7 input be sure to connect the corresponding XLR 3 32 to the number 7 output XLR connectors The connectors for the 4dBu signals are XLR 3 31 for the inputs and XLR 3 32 for the outputs XLR 3 31 XLR 3 32 INPUT OUTPUT Input Amplifier Section INPUT Connector XLR 3 31 Circuit Electronic balanced circuit Impedance 20K balanced at 6dBV output 28K balanced at 10dBV output Nominal level 4dBu Maximum level 25dBu OUTPUT Co
