14. steering column Tap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the end of the steering column uN End of Steering Column Bottom View e Position the vehicle body upright e Fit the front tabs on the grille into the slots in the front of the vehicle body Q Press firmly to snap the front tabs e Turn the vehicle body on its side e Fit a cap nut on the end of the steering column into the slots Tap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the end of Press firmly on the middle of the grille to snap the middle the steering column tabs into the slots e Press firmly near the back of the grille to snap the back tabs into the slots Assembly Lock Fastener Footrest e Fit the footrest to the peg on the underside of the vehicle body Note If you have already charged your Power Wheels 6 Volt 4 0 Amp Hr battery for at least 18 hours you may want to install it in the battery compartment before assem bling the seat to your vehicle Please refer to the Battery Installation section beginning on page 14 for instructions Insert the tabs on the front of the seat into the slots in the vehicle body Press down on the back of the seat to snap the tabs on the back of the seat into the slots in the vehicle body Using a slotted screwdriver turn the lock fastener a quarter turn to lock seat into place Once the seat is assembled to the vehicle body use a slotted screwdriver to rotate the lock
