4. on Your paper ran out ink ran out or paper is jammed You may also see one of the messages shown below ora message on your screen m If paper is out load more paper then press the oB maintenance button to resume printing m If paper is jammed press the 6 2 maintenance button to eject the paper If you re printing on roll paper press and hold down the amp roll paper button for at least three seconds to clear the jam If that doesn t work tum off the printer open the cover and remove all the paper including any tom pieces Then reload paper tum on the printer and press the D maintenance button m If you see IEb Ink Empty black or IEc Ink Empty color on the control panel you need to replace one of your ink cartridges Replace the cartridge as described on page 63 m If you see IC Ink Cartridge on the contro panel one of the cartridges is not installed correctly Remove it and install it correctly as described on page 65 Red D light flashes One of the ink cartridges is low Make sure you have a replacement cartndge Check the message that appears on your screen or on the control panel to see if you need a black ILb or color ILc cartridge Cut your picture s off the roll Then press the 6 roll paper button to feed the paper back into the printer Press the 6B maintenance button then remove any paper in the printer Tum off the printer open the cover and remove any paper or other

For best results use up the ink cartridges within six months of first installing them m Storeink cartridgesin a cool dark place After bringing an ink cartridge inside from a cold storage site allow it to warm up at room temperature for at least three hours before using it Donot shakean ink cartridge this can cause leakage Do not dismantle the ink cartridges or try to refill them T his could damage the print head Donot touch thegreen IC chip on the side of the cartridge T his may affect normal operation and printing m f you remove an ink cartridge for later use protect the ink supply area from dirt and dust and store it in the same environment as the printer N ote that there is a valve in the ink supply port making covers or plugs unnecessary but care is needed to prevent the ink from staining items that the cartridge touches Do not touch the ink cartridge ink supply port or surrounding area m Beforetransporting the printer make sure the print head is capped in the far right position and the ink cartridges are in place T ape the ink cartridge holder to the printer case to make sure it remains in the proper position Requirements and Notices 103 ENERGY STAR Compliance Asan ENERGY STAR Partner EPSON has determined that this product meets the ENERGY STAR guidelines for energy efficiency TheEPA ENERGY STAR Office equipment program is a voluntary partnership with the computer and office equipment industry to
