4. 26 General information Please note that the shelf positions are counted from bottom to top Always place cakes in cake tins in the middle of the shelf e With fan cooking you can also bake with two tins at the same time by placing them side by side on the shelf There is no significant in crease in baking time When frozen foods are used the trays inserted may distort during cook ing This is due to the large difference in temperature between the freezing temperature and the temperature in the oven Once the trays have cooled the distortion will disappear again Notes on the Baking Tables In the tables you will find information on temperatures cooking times and shelf positions for a selection of recipes Ranges are given for the temperature and cooking time since these are dependent on the mixture quantity and cake tin used When baking several cakes on baking sheets or in cake tins the cook ing time can be 10 15 minutes longer Moist items e g pizzas amp baking fruit cakes etc should be cooked on a maximum of two levels When using for the first time we recommend setting the lower tem perature If increased browning is required or the cooking time is too long select a higher temperature f you cannot find any specific information for one of your own reci pes use information on a similar recipe for guidance e Variations in the height of the item to be baked can lead to differ
5. 13 Operating the Oven il The oven is equipped with retractable buttons for Oven functions and Temperature selection To use press the relevant button The button then pops out Switching the Oven On and Off Oven Power Indicator Temperature Pilot Light Function Display Temperature Display Om Oven Functions Temperature selector 1 Turn the oven functions control knob to the required function 2 Turn the temperature selection control knob to the required tempera ture The yellow oven power indicator will remain on while the oven is in use The red temperature pilot light comes on while the oven is heating up 3 To switch off the oven turn the oven functions control knob and the temperature selection control knob to the off position il Cooling fan When the oven is switched on the fan comes on automatically to keep the surfaces of the appliance cool When the oven is switched off the fan continues to operate to cool the appliance down then switches it self off Oven Functions The oven has the following functions Oven lighting With this function you can illuminate the oven interior e g for clean ing The heating element is not in use Fan cooking For baking on up to three levels at the same time Set oven temperatures 20 40 C lower than when using the conven tional function The rear wall heating element is used and in addition the fan is swi

22. he door at an angle of approx 60 3 Slide the door hinges simultane ously as far as possible into the two slots on the right and left at the bottom of the oven 4 Lift the door up until resistance is met and then open fully 5 Lift the brass coloured clamping le vers on both door hinges back to their original position 6 Close the oven door Oven Door Glass gt pP N s Remove the oven door and place it Take hold of the upper glass panel Raise the panel gently at the base Grip the bottom edge of the middle Raise the panel gently at the base The oven door is fitted with three glass panels mounted one behind the other The inner panels may be removed for cleaning Warning The following steps must be performed only with the oven door removed If the glass is removed while the oven door is attached the lighter weight may cause it to spring up and cause injury Important Rough handling of the glass especially on the edges of the front panel may cause it to break Removing the upper glass panel on a soft flat surface with the han dle facing down at the lower edge and slide it against the spring pressure in the direction of the oven door handle until it comes free at the base and pull out Removing the middle glass panel glass panel and push it in the direc tion of the oven door handle until it comes free
