3. lethkeYorcs ENGINEERING DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS The Electro Voice Model 367 is designed as an auxiliary push to talk switch which can easily be mounted to a control wheel or stick The switch was designed to provide push to talk operation for miniature headset boom microphones such as Electro Voice Models 967M and 967ME in aircraft cockpits and cabins The 367 mounts to or releases from the control wheel with the turning of a knurled nut It can easily be taken from plane to plane by a pilot who may be renting aircraft or in a flying club The 367 provides shorting contacts for operation of the transmit receive relay and also controls supply voltage to the carbon equivalent amplifiers found in miniature boom microphones The unique wiring arrangement of this auxiliary push to talk switch increases versatility If two 367 switches are used with two headsets in the same cockpit the headsets will operate independently so that one switch turns on only one microphone Integral male and female plugs allow connection of the boom microphone to existing jacks and wiring in the aircraft cockpit without any changes A coil cord is provided with the unit to go from switch mounting area to the microphone input jack Type of coil cord provided offers minimum drag to control operation SPECIFICATIONS Type Three pole mutually shorting switch with positive detent See Figure 3 Cable Three conductor coiled cord Termination PJ 06
