Geo Pos gt Confirm by pressing OK A menu allowing you to enter the coordinates of your location will be dis played Fig 9 9 gt Press the OK key to switch the geo positioning function On or Off gt Use the arrow keys to select the field used to enter geographic longitude gt Use the numeric keys to enter the geographic longitude gt Now press the arrow key left gt In this field press OK to indicate whether the value refers to longitude East E or West W gt Now use the arrow keys to select the field used to enter geographic latitude gt Use the numeric keys to enter the geographic latitude gt Now press the arrow key left gt In this field press OK to indicate whether the value refers to latitude North N or South S gt Press Back to return to the LNC settings The coordinates of your location must be entered as a decimal value correct to one decimal place As the co ordinates are usually stated in degrees minutes and seconds these must be converted to a decimal value as follows The full degree value is not affected by the calculation The minutes are divided by 60 and rounded to one decimal place The result of this division is added to the degree value Seconds are not considered for the calculation as they do not influence the first decimal place Example Coordinates of Daun Germany Latitude 50 11 45 N Longitude 06 50 10 E Converting the degrees latitude LA LA

Please read this first gt Before you set up your unit for operation please first check that the package contains all the components that should be there The following are supplied as standard 1 digital receiver 1 mains power cable 1 remote con trol unit 1 operating manual 1 guarantee card 2 bat teries 1 5V AAA size gt Insert the batteries provided in the battery compart ment of the remote control unit Note the correct pola rity when inserting the batteries gt Before connecting the digital receiver please first read the safety notes in Chapter 3 gt Chapters 4 5 and 6 describe connection of the receiver and adjusting it to the external installation dish antenna LNC etc to the television set VCR etc These settings need only be made once during initial installation and need only be adjusted or chan ged when there are any changes in your equipment i e if a different external unit is connected or additio nal appliances are connected gt Chapter 7 describes all the functions necessary for day to day operation such as programme selection or volume adjustment gt Chapter 8 contains information on how to add new programmes and how to change the programme order gt Chapter 9 describes the settings necessary for the operation of a rotating antenna unit gt Technical terms used in the operating manual are explained in Chapter 10 gt Technical data may be found in Chapter 11 gt Assista

Your digital receiver will be switched on and off for the programme selected If the receiver was switched on by the timer this will be indicated by rEc on the display Most of the functions of the remote control will be de activated to prevent an accidental interruption of the recording In standby operation the active timer will be indicated by a blinking colon in the time display 38 2 Reminder If your receiver is in normal operational mode it will switch to the pre selected programme slot at the pre set time In contrast to the VCR setting the controls remain fully functional and the receiver will not be switched off at the end of the programme Transferring data into memory gt When you have completed programming press the yellow function key Transfer to transfer the data into memory If under Channel you have selected an encrypted programme or a programme that is blocked as per 8 1 6 you will first have to enter the PIN code before the data can be transferred to memory 7 15 2 Changing timer programming gt To change an existing timer setting use the arrow keys up down to mark the setting Press the yel low function key Change to move to the settings of the marked timer You can now effect the changes as described in Point 7 15 1 7 15 3 Deleting timer programming gt To delete an existing timer setting use the arrow keys up down to mark the setting gt Press the green function key
