4. of hot air circulation system e When the outdoor temperature is very low the system can be used together with other heating devices Ensure good ventilation is maintained for safety and to prevent accidents Defrosting When the outdoor air temperature is very low and humidity is very high frosting will occur on the heat exchanger of the outdoor unit this has a negative impact upon the heating performance efficiency If this occurs then the automatic defrosting function will come into play The heating operation will be stopped for 5 10 minutes in order for the defrosting process to occur e The fans of both the outdoor and indoor units are stopped during defrosting e During defrosting the outdoor unit may generate steam This is due to rapid defrosting and is not a performance failure e Upon completion of the defrosting process the heating operation is resumed 5 Trouble shooting Please review this list before calling a service centre It could save you time and money This list includes frequent complaints that do not arise from defective workmanship or material usage Some of the features described here may not apply to your model Symptom The air conditioner does not e Make sure the air conditioner plug is securely plugged in operate e Are there any obstacles or disturbance supply oscillators in the room that may be disturbing the signal from the remote controller e Is there a power failure e Is the power plug plugged

13. ioner is very dirty use a piece of cloth and soak it with neutral home use detergent to clean the unit e Wipe the surface of the unit with a moist cloth and then wipe it again with a dry cloth Do not use benzene solvent or any other chemical products After the season of operation 1 Set the temperature at 30 C and operate in the fan mode for around half a day in order dry out the interior of the unit 2 Stop the operation of the machine and switch off the power switch The air conditioner will consume about 5W of electric power after the machine is switched off For the purpose of energy saving and safety it is advisable to pull out the plug during non operational seasons 3 Remove the air filter screen clean it and refit 4 Clean the indoor and outdoor units 5 Remove the batteries from the remote controller Page 12 Note If the air filter screen is blocked by dust or dirt the performance of cooling and heating will be affected with the operation noise and power consumption increased Therefore the air filter screen should be cleaned regularly Basic principals and performance Features of the heating operation e The unit absorbs heat from the outdoor air and transfers it indoors so as to heat the room air The heating capabilities through the principle of the heat pump go up down with the increase decrease of the temperature of the outdoor air e Room temperature is raised in a short time through this type
