The DVC 2000 VideoPhone needs to be setup before use There is an easy to use Setup Wizard built into the DVC 2000 to accomplish the setup Video Camera LCD Display Self Remote Toggles between the local camera view and the remote camera view Full Screen Standard Toggles between full screen and standard mode display Privacy Used to block video and or audio transmissions Cancel Takes you to the SENOS item Speed Dial Opens up a window with the speed dial list and manual dialing options G wea vue L _ Lox JE h fi S Asterisk Sometimes referred to as a star key is used to enter a period also called a dot Broadband PE between En and T modes fe ee ej Speakerphone Arrows Used to move the position of the on screen cursor When entering Numeric Keypad Used when numeric input is required e g a telephone number or IP address lift up the receiver or press the speakerphone button and you can enter numbers directly alphanumeric information the left arrow key performs a backspace deleting the character to the left of the on screen cursor OK Used to confirm a selection or to bring up the on screen keyboard 4 Using the On Screen Keyboard Whenever you need to enter numbers or letters into a Setup sc2. option will work with your Internet connection please contact your ISP or network administrator for support Option 1 DHCP Network Address Used when connecting directly to a broadband amp X modem router gateway or DHCP server that offers IP address R dynamic IP addressing Subnet Mask Previous Option 2 Fixed IP Network Address Used when you are K connecting to a broadband modem router or gateway that is configured to use a madaras static IP address This choice Subnet Mask requires the input of specific IP address information aaway Previous The Setup Wizard continued DNS Screen If you selected Fixed IP in the Network Address screen you will see the screen for setting DNS server addresses S Only the primary DNS is required although entering both a primary and secondary is recommended Previous Option 3 PPPoE Network Address Used when connecting directly to a DSL modem that offers a x PPPoE connection Your user name and password for the PPPoE account must be entered in the provided fields Previous To configure a router to work with the DVC 2000 please see the section starting on Page 51 of the DVC 2000 manual O The Setup Wizard continued Network Speed Screen Select the type of broadband Network Speed Internet connection you use Cable Modem Previous Click Next System Restart Warning To complete the Setup Wizard y
