1. at a time sLightly push the pellet into the barrel by closing the bolt and pushing the bolt handle down to lock DO NOT jam the bolt forward This will damage your airgun Be sure bolt is closed before firing If it is not closed and fully locked the pellet may not be discharged B Unloading Pellets NOTE The airgun must be charged with COs when following these steps but remember do not store your airgun with a CO cartridge in it See Section 3 Aim the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION take it OFF SAFE See Section 2B and fire You may also unload your airgun by following the directions listed under Step 6 Removing a Jammed Pellet Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water The pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit Place the backstop in a location that will be safe should the backstop fail Your backstop should be checked for wear before and after each use All backstops are subject to wear and will eventually fail Replace your backstop if the surface is worn or damaged or if a ricochet occurs Do not attempt to disassemble or tamper with your airgun Use an Authorized Service Station Using unauthorized repair centers or modifying the function of your airgun in any way may be unsafe and will void your warranty Always keep your CrosBlock trigger block in place when storing this airgun Store airgun in a secure location See CrosBlock instructions packaged with
2. guard until ready to shoot You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes If your reading or prescription glasses are not safety glasses make sure you wear shooting glasses over your regular glasses Use 22 caliber 5 5 mm pellets only Never reuse ammunition Like all mechanical devices an airgun safety can fail Even when the safety is ON SAFE you should continue to handle the airgun safely NEVER point the airgun at any person NEVER point the air gun at anything you do not intend to shoot B To Take the Airgun OFF SAFE Push the safety from the right side all the way in When you can see the RED ring around the left side of the safety the airgun is OFF SAFE and can be fired Like all mechanical devices an airgun safety can fail Even when the safety is ON SAFE you should continue to handle the airgun safely NEVER point the airgun at any person NEVER point the air gun at anything you do not intend to shoot 3 Installing and Removing the AirSource Cylinder NOTE You should use only Crosman or Game Face brand 88 gram AirSource CO9 cylinders They are made to fit the Model AS392 airgun Other brands of CO2 cylinder may not fit properly and if you force them into place it may result in injury to you or damage to your airgun Never try to force any CO cylinder into or out of place We recommend you do not store your airgun with a CO cylinder on it If y
3. in a SAFE DIRECTION and pulling the trigger until there is a popping noise which will mean the airgun is releasing CO with each pull of the trigger e Return the safety to the ON SAFE position See Section 2A Place re usable protective skin on the AirSource CO9 cylinder Your gun is now charged and ready to use in a safe manner AirSource Piercing Tank Assembly USE 22 CALIBER PELLETS ONLY IN YOUR MODEL AS2250 NEVER REUSE AMMUNITION USE OF ANY OTHER AMMUNITION CAN CAUSE INJURY TO YOU OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRGUN B Removing the AirSource Cylinder e Put the airgun in the ON SAFE position See Section 2A e Make sure the airgun is unloaded See Section 4C e Turn the AirSource CO5 cylinder slowly counterclockwise to allow any remaining CO gas to escape IMPORTANT Avoid contact with the escaping CO as it can cause frostbite Take special care if you are removing an AirSource cylinder which is full as much more CO gas will need to be released Remove and save the re usable protective skin from the AirSource cylinder 4 Loading and Unloading Pellets A Loading Pellets Put the airgun ON SAFE See Section 2A e Point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION Push bolt handle up and pull all the way back until you hear two clicks Fig 4 With the bolt in the open position place one pellet nose first into the loading port breech Fig 4 This is a single shot pellet airgun Load no more than one pellet

7. e pellet may bounce off or ricochet and hit someone or something you had not intended to hit Always choose your target carefully It is best to shoot at paper bullseye targets which are attached to a safe backstop such as the Crosman 850 Target Trap A heavy blanket should be hung behind the Target Trap to prevent ricochet should you miss the backstop Your backstop should be checked for wear before and after each use Replace your backstop if the surface is worn or damaged or if a ricochet occurs Your airgun is designed for target shooting and is suited for both indoor and outdoor use Always remember to place your target carefully THINK about what you will hit if you miss the target 6 Removing a Jammed Pellet e Put the airgun on safe See Section 2A e Empty and remove the CO cartridge See Section 3b Open the bolt See Section 4A Fig 4 Insert a cleaning rod or ramrod of the proper size into the barrel start at the muzzle The barrel could be damaged if the proper sized cleaning rod or ramrod is not used Bolt Push the jammed pellet into the pellet loading Open port forward of the bolt Fig 5 Position Do not try to reuse that pellet If you are not able to unjam your airgun by following this procedure take no further action An Authorized Service Station will unjam your airgun no cost during the warranty period hens Ramrod Fig 5 7 Maintaining Your Airgun e Your airgun will work be
8. ng Procedures 1 Learning Parts of Your New Airgun 2 Operating the Safety 3 Installing and Removing AirSourceCOp tank 4 Loading and Unloading Pellets 5 Aiming and Firing Safely 6 Removing a Jammed Pellet 7 Maintaining Your Airgun 8 Reviewing Safety 1 Learning the Parts of Your New Airgun Learning the names of the parts of your new airgun will help you to understand your owner s manual Use this manual to increase your enjoyment of this airgun AirSource Piercing Bolt closed position Skin tank T Breech Cae 2 Operating the Safety Muzzle A To Put the Airgun ON SAFE eLocate the safety directly behind the trigger Push the safety from the left side all the way in Fig 2 The safety is not on unless it is pushed all the way in and the red ring around the safety is not showing A WARNING Keep the airgun ON SAFE until you are actually ready to shoot 5 Aiming and Firing Safely This airgun is equipped with a dovetail groove to allow mounting of a scope or other optic Mount and sight in scope following instructions provided with your scope You and others with you should always wear shooting glasses to protect your eyes Always aim your airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION When you are sure of your target and backstop and the area around the target is clear take the airgun OFF SAFE See Section 2B and pull the trigger to fire Do not shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface of water Th
9. ou know you will not be using your airgun for an extended period of time empty the CO cylinder and remove it from the airgun A Installing the AirSource Cylinder e Make sure the air rifle is ON SAFE See Section 2A e Make sure the air rifle is unloaded See Section 4B e Point the air rifle in a SAFE DIRECTION e Remove protective cap from AirSource CO cylinder e Screw the AirSource cylinder in to the piercing assembly until hand tight Fig 3 e Open and cock the bolt by pulling the bolt handle up and all the way back The A WARNING CO cylinders may explode at temperatures above 120 F 48 9 C Do not mutilate or incinerate them Do not expose them to heat or store CO cylinders at temperatures above 120 F 48 9 C Keep hands and face away from escaping CO gas It can cause frostbite if allowed to come in contact with skin tip of the bolt should be visible in the breech Figure 4 e Without loading any ammunition return the bolt handle to the locked position by firmly pushing the bolt handle all the way forward and down DO NOT jam the bolt forward This will damage your air rifle e Point the airgun in a SAFE DIRECTION take OFF SAFE See Section 2B and pull the trigger If the airgun does not make a popping noise after pulling the trigger the CO is not being discharged In that event you will have to repeat the process above tightening the AirSource cylinder a little more pointing the airgun
10. st if you oil it every 250 shots Put a drop of our Crosman 0241 Lubricating Oil directly on the tip of the AirSource CO cartridge before inserting and on o ring located on the bolt Fig 4 Do not over oil as this can cause damage to your airgun DO NOT use gun oil or any other oil which contains solvents External metal surfaces should be wiped with a lightly oiled cloth after each use If the accuracy of your airgun falls off run a firm but free fitting patch through the barrel Be sure to use a cleaning rod of the proper size that will not damage the barrel Tampering with the airgun or attempts to change the airgun in any way may make it unsafe to use If you drop your airgun visually check to see that it works properly before you use it again If anything seems changed like a shorter or weaker trigger pull this may mean worn out or broken parts Call the factory for assistance before using the airgun again 8 Reviewing Safety Never point the airgun at any person or at anything you do not intend to shoot Always treat the airgun as though it is loaded and with the same respect you would a firearm e Always aim in a SAFE DIRECTION Always keep the muzzle of the airgun pointed in a SAFE DIRECTION e Always keep the airgun on safe until you are ready to shoot Always check to see if the airgun is ON SAFE and unloaded when getting it from another person or from storage Always keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger
