Owners Guide Model Nos 793315 79334 65 Cat Nos TSREAW TSROMW IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS Retain these instructions for future reference read them carefully and note also the information given on the heater These heaters have no controls that can be adjusted by the user All controls are factory preset Heater Model No 793315 has an Automatic Input Controller fitted which adjusts the amount of charge taken according to the weather conditions The Model No of your heater can be found on the label fitted to the wall fixing bracket The heaters store heat overnight while the cost of Economy 7 electricity is cheaper and discharge the heat gradually throughout the following day They use no electricity during the daytime and will operate on any off peak tariff in addition to the Economy 7 tariff for which they are primarily designed FIRST HEATING OF A NEW HEATER f The new heater will give off a slight smell The smell is normally harmless in a well ventilated room and if possible a window should be left open during the overnight charging periods Caged birds young children and people with chest ailments are best kept out of the room during the first f period i IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION WARNING THE SURFACE OF THIS HEATER CAN BE HOT The surface temperatures of this heater are within the requirements of EN60 335 the European Standard covering the safety requirements of electric storage heating appliance

AND DO NOT OBSTRUCT Ain Ouret Gries Surfaces of the heater should not be covered or obstructed as this can cause excessive temperatures that can be hazardous and may cause safety cut outs to operate For example do not put clothes fabrics or any combustible materials on the heater or allow curtains to come within 250mm 10 of the top of the heater and 75mm 3 of the ends of the heater and do not allow furniture to be pushed up against the heater e DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE THE HEATER OR UNSCREW IT FROM THE WALL Your Storace Heater is VERY Heavy For safety in use the heater must be securely fixed to a sound wall and specialist advice must be sought before moving If you are not happy that the heater has been securely fixed please inform your installer Do NOT SIT OR STAND ON THE HEATER e Do NOT SPILL LIQUIDS ONTO THE APPLIANCE IF YOU DO SWITCH THE HEATER OFF AND GET A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN TO CHECK IT WHEN YOUNG CHILDREN ELDERLY OR INFIRM PEOPLE ARE PRESENT THE APPLIANCE SHOULD BE ADEQUATELY GUARDED e NEVER DRAPE CLOTHING OR CURTAINS OVER THE HEATER OR STAND ANYTHING ON OR NEAR TO IT ENSURE THAT THERE 1 CLEARANCE AROUND THE HEATER AND THAT NOTHING IS PLACED AGAINST OR IN CONTACT WITH THE HEATER CASING o Do NOT POKE OBJECTS THROUGH THE GRILLE OR VENTILATION SLOTS Do NOT USE POLISHES ON THE HEATER OR ON FURNITURE NEAR TO IT e The hot interior of the heater can produce paraffin smells from polish vapours which may last for

4. s and momentary contact with any part of the heater should not cause injury However in order to be effective heaters of any type do get hot especially around the air outlet grille Therefore if aged or infirm persons or young children are likely to be left unsupervised in the vicinity of a heater precautions should be taken to ensure that prolonged contact with the heater cannot occur We recommend that a guard is fitted around the heater as is normal with some types of heating appliances in similar circumstances A range of guards for Creda storage heaters is available If you require further information on these guards please contact Applied Energy Products Ltd on 01733 456 789 SHELVES A shelf positioned above the heater will enable this space to be used because as described earlier it is not safe to place anything actually on the heater itself Also a shelf will cut down the dust streaking on the wall which sometimes results from the warm air rising from wall mounted radiators of all types A purpose built range of shelves to suit the TSR heaters are available from your heater stockists or direct from Applied Energy Products Ltd 0 85 kW heater shelf pack 79032 i i NOTE If during any reassembly of the heater a part of the thermal insulation shows damage or deterioration which may impair safety it should be replaced by an identical part CAUTIONARY NOTES e Do Not Cover THE SURFACES OF THE HEATER
