Continental E l e c t r i C INSTRUCTION MANUAL MODEL CE22261 CAN OPENER ELECTRIC CAN OPENER KNIFE SHARPENER IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances especially when children are present basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following 1 READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS 2 To protect against electrical hazards do not immerse cord plugs or case in water or other liquid 3 Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children 4 Unplug from outlet when not in use before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning 5 Avoid contact with moving parts 6 Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination repair or adjustment 7 Do not use outdoors 8 Do not let cord hang over the edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces 9 Do not open pressurized aerosol type cans with this appliance 10 Do not open cans of flammable liquids such as lighter fluids with this appliance 11 Do not use appliance for other than intended used 12 The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufac turer may cause fire electric shock or injury FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS 1 Lever 2 Magnet 3 Geared Wheel 4 Base Getting to Know Your Can Opener 5 Bo2. 3. da 4 Oprima la palanca para perforar la tapa de la lata Esto tam bien activar la acci n de cortar El abrelatas continuar cortando hasta que la tapa este completamente cortada 5 Aguante la lata entonces suba la palanca para liberar la lata 6 Separe la tapa del im n Tenga cuidado de evitar lesiones debido al filo de la tapa di Las latas muy altas podran abrirse colocando el abrelatas en el borde del mostrador COMO LIMPIAR 1 Desenchufe la unidad del tomacorriente Para sacar la palanca de perforaci n sujete el abrelatas y hale la palanca 3 Lave la palanca de perforaci n en una jabonadura de agua tibia 4 Limpie el exterior de la unidad con un pafio h medo 5 Para reponer la palanca sujete el abrelatas y coloque el pivote en el agujero para el pivote entonces empuje la palanca GUARDE ESTE MANUAL Conociendo su Abrelatas 1 Nivelador 5 Destapador 2 Iman 6 Abre Latas 3 Rueda de Guia 7 Barra de Guia 4 Base Tu COMO USAR EL AFILADOR DE CUCHILLOS da Coloque la cuchilla ligeramente en la ranura derecha o en la izquierda entonces mueva el cuchillo lentamente hacia sf con movimiento lento y parejo 2 Coloque la cuchilla en la otra ranura y repita 4 5 pases alternando de una ranura a otra de acuerdo a la ilustraci n hasta que est tan afilada como desee 3 Para afilar tijeras use las ranuras m s grandes al costado IMPORTANTE Las cuchillas deber n estar limpias antes de afilar No
4. down Press down firmly in place until top surface is flush with the lever 4 Plug Can Opener into electrical outlet and press down on the Lever to make sure it is operating properly CAUTION Do not place finger underneath the Lever where the Cutting Blade and Geared Wheel are located doing so may cause injury CAUTION Never remove the magnet wihtout first unplugging the cord and returning the lever to its flush horizontal position TO USE CAN OPENER 1 Place Can Opener on level surface 2 Raise Lever place can under the Guide Bar and against the Geared Wheel See Figure 1 to identify parts Make sure the magnet sticks completely to the top of the can 3 Have one hand poised to grasp the can With the other press down on the Lever to pierce lid of can This automatically starts the cutting action The Can Opener will continue to cut until the lid is completely severed from the can 4 Grasp the can then raise the Lever to release the can 5 Carefully remove lid from the magnet USE CAUTION TO AVOID INJURY FROM EDGE OF LID SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS 4 POLARIZED PLUG This appliance has a polarized plug one blade is wider than the other To reduce the risk of electric shock this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet reverse the plug If it still does not fit contact a qualified electrician Do not attempt to modify the plug in anyway SH
