1. CITIZEN INSTRUCTION MANUAL _for DIGITAL THERMOME R E a pa PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL IN ANY CASE BEFORE USING PARTS NAMES Display Push button Probe ONSOFF switch CITIZEN 3EB T Probe tip Fever sensor Main bod Using antibacterial material PRECAUTIONS 1 Do not use this thermometer for measurements other than body temperature The thermometer will be damaged if it is used to measure the temperature of bath refrigerators etc 2 Do not drop the thermometer and do not expose the thermometer to heavy shock As the thermometer is not shock protected construction 3 Do not bend the thermometer 4 Do not bite the probe 5 Do not disassemble the unit do not make any modifications and do not touch the cir cuitry 6 Do not spill chemical solvents on the unit T Do not store the unit in direct sunlight not at high temperature and not at a high degree of humidity or dust 8 Do mot boil the probe 9 Do not use the thermometer if it operates irregularly or shows sings of malfunction 10 Do not use thinner or benzine 11 When using the thermometer after storage at low temperature place it in a warm place for 5 to 10 minutes before use 12 Keep the thermometer out of reach of children 13 Wipe the thermometer clean before storing 14 In order to measure the temperature more appropriately hospitals recommend to re quire times in case of the mouth oral measurement for over 5 m
2. eased 2 When release the ON OFF switch i b 5 C will show on the display and then the gf with flashing C indicates thermometer being ready to take a temperature The temperature reading should take about ninety seconds 3 When the peak temperature has been reached C will stop flashing and beeper will sound for four seconds 4 To tum the unit off press the ON OFF switch If the thermometer is inadvertently left on after use it will automatically shut off in 16 minutes Remarks 1 if the ambient mpenn is Bid than 32 0 C the display will not show Oo 2 if the temperature goes fever than 32 0 C the display will only show i e but if the temperature goes higher than 42 9 C it will show 3 Temperature should only be taken under the supervision of an adult and it is not suggested to take a rectal temperature with your thermometer 5 Now carry out the measurement A Measurement in the mouth oral Put the probe tip under the rear part of the tongue and chose the mouth tightiy to insure accurate readings Normal oral temperature is 37 0 C B Underarm measurement axillary The probe tip should be placed under the armpit and hold the temperature parallel to the body and put the arm on the chest so the probe tip is well covered by the arm NOTE axillary temperature is usually 0 5 C lower than oral reading Remarks When taking your temperature please use the thermometer in the same position to m
