6. ber shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible REV 09e SKU 47618 For technical questions please call 1 800 444 3353 Page 3 OPERATION 1 Place the Fast Battery Charger on a flat smooth dry surface near an electrical outlet 2 Insert 1 to 4 D C AA AAA batteries or 1 to 2 9V batteries in the Battery Compartment DO NOT MIX NiCd NICKEL CADMIUM AND NiMH NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BAT TERIES 3 Slide the Battery Type Switch to select the correct type of battery For Nickel Cadmium batteries set the Battery Type Switch to the NiCd posi tion For Nickel Metal Hydride batter ies set the Battery Type Switch to the NiMH position See illustration 4 Plug the Charger into a correct house hold electric outlet The LED CH 1 CH 2 CH 3 or CH 4 will glow red col or to indicate the proper charging Af ter the proper charge time is reached 5 hours for NiCd and 8 hours for NiMH except for 9V of both types and NiMH D Cells the red lights will turn off and the trickle charge is on The charged batteries are now ready for use See illustration 5 Unplug the Fast Battery Charger and remove all batteries when not in use Note When 9V batteries are placed in the Charger the green light at the top of the Charger will come on After 10 Hours for NiCd 110 mAh and 15 hours for NiMH 150 160 mAh remove the 9V batteries from the Charger The 9V batteries are now ready for use Note The
