Technical Bulletin Bulletin No PRO 03 16 Effective Date 11 15 78 Page 1 of 1 Subject Quick Release Valve QR 1C The subject Quick Release Valve Figure 1 is a special purpose valve which is essentially a QR 1 valve with a double check valve in the cover permitting application on the delivery side from either of two sources One obvious application is for control of spring brakes The spring brake control valve is connected to the supply port and a line from the service brakes is connected to the balance port thus releasing the spring applied parking brakes whenever a service application is made with the spring brakes applied Three piece numbers have been released per the chart in Figure 2 BALANCE 1 4 N P T F 1 4 N P T F SUPPLY 7 iosa RUSS EXHAUST DELIVERY PORT SIZE 1 4 N P T DRYSEAL DELIVERY 289182 289224 1 4 N P T DRYSEAL 3 8 N P T DRYSEAL 289714 Figure 2
