3. 5 A This fuse should only be replaced by the same type and current rating Be sure that the voltage applied to the T5 108 corresponds to the rating listed on the rear panel OUTPUTS These goldplated RCA connectors are the line level outputs that are to be connected to your preamplifier TUNER input connectors The output signal level is approximately 5 V rms for a 100 modulated 400 Hz RF signal RF INPUT This goldplated connector is the TS 108 s 75 ohm unbalanced input connection that is to be attached to the antenna or RF source The 5 segment signal level meter in the fluorescent display indicates the incoming RF signal level The signal level meter is calibrated such that an incoming signal with a level greater than 56 dBf will illuminate all 5 segments while the TS 108 is in the WIDE mode Continuous hiss or buzzing during FM reception could be caused from the incoming signal being too weak Use the correct antenna and orientate the antenna for best possible reception as indicated by the signal strength meter on the fluorescent display Occasional crackling noise during FM reception may be due to external noise interference that has nothing to do with the performance of the unit for example a motor or computer close to the antenna Move the antenna as far from the source of the interference as possible Some cable sompanies have the ability to transmit the focal FM signals over your TV cable network This transmission is usually sup

B amp K COMPONENTS LTD TS 108 FM Stereo Tuner Operation Manual TS 108 Owner s Manual Introduction Thank you for purchasing a B amp K Components Led TS 108 Stereo FM Tuner The TS 108 has many useful features and includes the same high quality components that are found in all B amp K Components Ltd products The T5 108 is a digitally tuned FM stereo tuner with 8 programmable presets Each of the presets allows you to store a station frequency and reception mode Each preset stores the selectivity WIDE or NARROW sensitivity Dx or LOCAL and STEREO MONO mode With these features the TS 108 can be set for optimum reception and then stored in of the 8 available preset locations To reduce noise goldplated input and output connectors are used The chassis constructed of heavy gauge steel and a 3 16 aluminium faceplate provide maximum structural integrity The TS 108 is manufactured for dependability and will provide many years of listening pleasure We encourage you to read this operation manual thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the TS 108 FM Tuner Safety Precautions Read ali instructions 2 Keep all units well ventilated 3 For extended periods of nonuse unplug the unit from the power source 4 Do not open the unit there are no user serviceable parts inside Contact your dealer or authorized service center for customer assistance 5 Keep the unit away from liquids and direct sunlight

7. with the optimum settings for each station s best reception MODE There are 3 on off buttons that allow you to control the reception mode of the TS 108 These buttons are described individually below and are used to adjust for the best reception of a station When saving a station as a preset the settings of these buttons are also saved in that preset Pushing one of these buttons toggles the associated function on or off as indicated in the fluorescent display WIDE This button is used to switch the selectivity between WIDE and NARROW In the WIDE setting a wide bandwidth is used to achieve maximum reception and dynamic range In the NARROW setting WIDE display is off the bandwidth is reduced to suppress interference from other stations WIDE is recommended for strong stations and stations where interference is not a problem Dx This button is used to switch the sensitivity between Dx and LOCAL In the Dx setting the gain is high to achieve maximum signal strength The power gain is lower in the LOCAL setting Dx display is off which is recommended for extremely strong stations that may cause problems with distortion MONO This button controls whether a station is received in MONO or STEREO and also affects the stepping rate when adjusting the tuning frequency up and down STEREO produces a slow race and MONO produces a fast rate MONO can be useful for clearing up the reception of a weak stereo signal SET Push this button and the SET indic
