B amp K COMPONENTS LTD ST 120 Power Amplifier Operation Manual ST 120 Owner s Manual intr ction Thank for purchasing a B amp K Components Ltd T 120 power amplifier Your 5T 120 carries many useful features including the same high quality components that are found in our other power amplifiers The ST 120 is manufactured with 1 metal film resistors and a toroidal transformer for efficient power supply operation This allows the ST 120 to operate at full power with a square wave signal and the most demanding digital audio signals To reduce noise goldplated input and output connectors are used Optional balanced line inputs can also be ordered to further lower common noise interference The chassis constructed of heavy gauge steel and a 3 16 aluminium faceplate provide maximum structural integrity The ST 120 is manufactured for dependability and will provide many years of listening pleasure We encourage you to read this operation manual thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the ST 120 power amplifier t Read all instructions 2 Keep all units well ventilated 3 For extended periods of nonuse unplug the unit from the power source 4 Do not open the unit there are no user serviceable parts inside Contact your dealer or authorized service center for customer assistance 5 Keep the unit away from liquids and direct sunlight 6 Secure ali connections and power cords Keep powar cords out of trav2. or limitation of incidental or consequential damages so the above exclusions may not apply to you No agent representative dealer or employee of the company has the authority to increase or alter the obligations or terms of this warranty This warranty gives you specific legal rights you may also have other rights which vary from state to state RETURN AUTHORIZATION Please note that the return of any product to B amp K Components Ltd for the purpose of warranty repair service or other reason requires a Return Authorization RA to be issued by B K Components Ltd prior to return shipment The RA may be requested by calling 1 800 543 5252 NY 716 822 8488 between 8 30 AM and 5 00 PM EST EDT Monday thru Friday At that time it will be requested that you provide the following information 1 Your name and address 2 The model and seria number 3 The reason for which the unit is to be returned Once your RA has been issued you will immediately be provided with an RA number We will then send an RA package to you by mail Included in the RA package will be instructions on how to return your unit multiple copies of the RA and a preprinted return shipping label to be attached to the unit B amp K COMPONENTS LTD 1971 Abbott Road Buffalo New York 14218 3241 1 800 543 5252 NY 716 822 8488 FAX 716 822 8306 71017

4. e speakers should not be lower than 4 ohms LEFT SPEAKER TERMINALS Same as above for the left speaker LEFT AND RIGHT BALANCED LINE INPUT CONNECTORS Optional If your unit is configured with balanced XLR connec tors these are to be used for connecting to the preamplifier pin ground pin 2 pin 3 Balanced connectors and cables provide maximum reduction of common noise interference which can degrade clarity and low frequency accuracy Proper balanced operation re quires that the preamplifier be also equipped with balanced output connectors consult your authorized dealer concerning this option BALANCED INPUTS This switch must be depressed in to enable the balanced line inputs to be activated Set the switch to the out position to use RCA connectors Only one set of inputs many be used at one time INPUTS These are line level input connectors RCA that are connected to the preamplifier outputs A surround sound processor may be connected to these Inputs note When making connections to the back panel and to your audio components always connect the sight channel of one component to the right channel of the other component Also make the connections with the plugs pushed all che way In and seared firmly nate Refer to Making the Right Connections for itlustrated connectians Making the Right Connections CAUTION i oF re OC oa wen id Balanced Line Connectors Optional pin
