1. electronics THE MOBILE ELECTRONICS COMPANY SINCE 1977 JHD3000 Troubleshooting Guide Radio will not turn ON e Check fuse e Confirm 12V on battery wire to radio YELLOW wire e Confirm 12V on accessory wire to radio RED wire e Confirm Ground Radio turns ON but no sound e Verify Volume Fader Balance Mute controls are set correctly see owners manual e Verify proper speaker connections e Check for shorts or opens on speaker wires CD does not load fully e Make sure unit has power and no other CD is currently inside CD does not play correctly Check to make sure disc is inserted correctly Verify disc is free from dirt scratches etc Check with factory CDs Check factory original CDs for compatibility warnings due to various copy protection multi media content etc e Disc skips during playback verify you have not exceeded 30 degrees mounting angle No AM or FM reception e Verify you are tuned to a valid station e Check your antenna connection on rear of stereo e Try a different antenna Unit loses memory during engine crank with diesel motor e Engine crank is dropping voltage to the Yellow 12VDC power wire below operating threshold Stabilize voltage from vehicle No sound in PA mode e Make sure microphone is connected to PA MIC input e Make sure microphone volume is turned up e Make sure you are using a compatible microphone and adaptor s provided by ASA Voyager or Jensen branded microphone only2.
