9. causing the pipe to rupture Failure of the basin valve to open could result in freezing and damaging the unit To test first locate the fill and fill line drain valves Shut the main disconnect off A small amount of water should come out of the pipe exiting the fill line drain valve The basin should start draining as witnessed by the water level dropping Allow the water level to drop about 50 mm 2 in Once this occurs you can apply power to the unit Observe the water level to ensure the basin is refilling Inspecting the Heat Exchangers Inspect heat exchangers Module by Module Remove power from the Module to be inspected Be certain that the branch circuit feeding the Module is turned off Open the access panels Remove one section of mist eliminators from the upper portion of the Module Inspect the top of the heat exchangers for buildup of mineral deposits dirt or microbial contamination If any evidence of contamination is found the IEC core may need to be removed to perform a thorough inspection of the IEC core tubes If additional contamination is found on the IEC core tubes the water collectors should be cleaned Water pulse power treatment system Inspect the AC power supply for visible damage that might affect water treatment system safety and operation This visible inspection should ensure that no wires have been cut or are exposed Electrical Inspect the umbilical cable for visible damage that might affect the safety and

11. next Module in the list to view EcoBreeze System Operation and Maintenance Environment Control The EcoBreeze can sense ambient temperature and automatically switch between DRY and WET mode to optimize efficiency The Frame controls the Modules to provide the conditioned air to the computer room Air to air heat exchange Air to air heat exchange is the DRY mode and only requires the power of the fans to move the air extremely energy efficient All water in the system is dumped during dry operation to prevent freezing and the energy efficient outside air fan modulates airflow across the heat exchanger to maintain the IT supply air setpoint When ambient air drops below 4 4 C 40 F the system water is dumped to prevent freezing The system water will also be dumped after 24 hours user adjustable setting of spray free operation Only the fans are required to move the air Cool air passes over the outside of the heat exchanger channels cooling the hot IT air flowing inside Indirect evaporative cooling IEC Indirect evaporative cooling is the WET mode and allows for economizing in hot dry climates Unevaporated water is collected and recirculated through the chemical free water treatment system The conductivity meter in the water basin maintains optimal water makeup Heat is removed from the IT air by evaporating water on the outside of the heat exchanger channels Water is supplied evenly over the heat exchanger ch
