1. SurgeX Installation Instructions SA82 FlatPak 120 Volt Connections The SurgeX SA82 is designed to operate from a 120V AC service Power up the unit by connecting the power cord supplied with the unit and then plug into a 120V ac receptacle The SA82 is rated for a maximum load of 8 amps Plug up to two equipment power cords into the yellow receptacles as needed to provide safe filtered power to the equipment Under no circumstances should the product be used with a ground lifter or any other device which disconnects ground from the SurgeX Doing so will create a safety hazard and could constitute danger to life Indicator Lights The green Self Test light indicates that power is applied to the unit and the internal surge protection circuitry is fully functional If this light is not on when the unit is plugged into the AC check that AC is present at the receptacle where the unit is plugged in If at any point the Self Test light should go out first make sure that AC is present at the receptacle where the unit is plugged in If the light is still off once this has been checked then it will be necessary to return the unit to SurgeX for repair The red Power light indicates that AC power is available at the two yellow receptacles This light will go out if the AC voltage rises above 145 Volts and power will be interrupted in order to protect connected equipment When the AC voltage returns below 135 Volts power will be automaticall2. y restored to the yellow receptacles and the red Power light will once again be lit
