3. le the lower layers first Plug in the styler and press and hold the on button to switch on When the styler is plugged in but not turned the lock symbol will be illuminated indicating styler is in stand by mode The Heat Protection function will automatically be on when the styler is turned on indicated by the pulsing indicator icon To turn this function off press and hold the Heat Protection Sensor on off button Start styling on lower temperatures first Select appropriate temperature for your hair type using the controls on the side of the straightener Recommended Temperatures 5 6 The temperature display will stop flashing once the desired temperature is reached this will be about 15 seconds Working on one section at a time run the straightener through the entire length of the hair without stopping If the Heat Protection Sensor is on during styling it will monitor moisture in the hair and continually optimise the temperature to prevent damage without compromising on results These changes are not displayed by the straightener and happen quickly and automatically during styling When finished press and hold the off button for two seconds to turn off and unplug the appliance Switch lock function Set the desired temperature by pressing buttons and lock the switch settings by pressing the button for 2 seconds A padlock symbol will appear next to the temperature To unlock the switch settings press a
