USER GUIDE WELCOME Thank you for choosing the iHome iP4 Boombox featuring SRS TruBass This user guide will get you up and running quickly and provide helpful hints to maximize enjoyment For more information about this and other iHome products please visit www ihomeaudio com GETTING STARTED This unit can be operated using the included AC adaptor or with 6 D batteries for portable use not included For AC operation place unit on a stable surface Plug the power adaptor into the AC jack on back of the unit and the other end into a wall socket The unit will charge docked iPhone or iPod while connected to AC power AC adaptor jack for powering unit Line in for plugging in other audio devices or included FM antenna Re B 5 For details see page 5 In Auto mode will disable remote when operating on batteries to save battery life Press in ON to activate remote during battery operation For battery operation place unit upside down to access the battery compartment Press down directly on arrow with thumb and slide the battery compartment cover to release it If replacing existing batteries remove and dispose of properly Insert 6 fresh D alkaline batteries with polarity or as shown Replace battery compartment door Note unit will not charge iPod iPhone while operating on batteries Installing and adjusting the carry strap Insert the folded end of the strap under the strap pin and

Phone or iPod at the same time or you will hear both sources FM RADIO Press and release the Mode Button as needed to access FM Radio mode Turn the FM Radio Tuner Knob to tune in the desired station The unit has an internal FM radio antenna you may wish to adjust the unit s location for better FM reception For the best reception insert the FM Antenna plug into the Aux in FM Antenna J ack on the back of the unit Extend the wire antenna fully Do not strip alter or attach to other antennas USING FM RADIO IN OTHER COUNTRIES Different areas of the world use different FM frequency steps and ranges By default this unit is set to USA frequency steps To use the radio outside the USA press and hold the Mode Button until USA appears in the display Turn the FM Radio Tuner Knob to cycle to your location Europe J apan Australia China or USA Press the Mode Button to exit frequency setting mode THE REMOTE CONTROL The unit comes with a magnetized remote control which fits into a slot on the top of the unit The remote comes with one CR2032 battery already installed Remove the battery tab to use the remote Power Button e Turns unit ON or OFF Mode Button e Cycle through modes iPod and FM radio Lower Raise Volume e Raises or lowers volume of the unit Play Pause Button e Switches iPhone or iPod in dock between Play and Pause modes Track Buttons e Skip to next or previous track e HOLD to scan reverse or forward
7. ch as iPod nano do not require the retention bar When unit is connected to power with the AC adaptor your iPhone or iPod will charge while docked It will not charge when operating on batteries Q Q OOOO HOME ap Listening to iPhone or iPod Press the Power Button to turn the unit on Press the Mode Button to cycle to iPod mode Press the PI Button on the unit to listen to music Adjust levels with Volume Knob and adjust the tone with the Graphic Equalizer Buttons Press the SRS Button to activate SRS TruBass audio In iPod mode turning the Tuning Knob will adjust the display brightness When you are done listening press the Power Button to turn the unit off When unit is off docking an already playing iPhone or iPod will turn it on USING LINE IN LINE IN J ACK Connect one end of a standard stereo 3 5mm audio cable not included into the line in jack on the back of the unit and the other into the headphone or output jack of your audio device Press the Power Button on the unit to turn it on Press and release the Mode Button as needed to access iPod mode Turn the aux device on and press play Adjust volume on your audio device and the unit as needed Do not play a line in audio device and a docked i
