Use the connector cable for this Connect the right speaker to the power supply with the mains adapter Observe all safety notes on page 4 5 in the process 4 If you would like to use a headset connect the jack Mic Out 5 with the micro phone input jack of your PC notebook For this you will need a cable with a 3 5 mm stereo jack plug not included in the product contents N eS 8 Teufel Concept B 20 Location tips Select a stable level base e Make sure that the environment is clean and free from dust Avoid placing the unit close to sourc es of heat or in direct sunlight Arrange the connector cables so that they do not pose a trip hazard Do not place any heavy objects on the cables or the speakers The speakers should be situated to the left and right of the monitor and if pos sible form an equilateral triangle with the listener the so called stereo tri angle distance from the listener dis tance between the speakers The speak ers should project sound directly into the room or be arranged slightly towards the listener There should be approx 10 cm of space between the back of the speakers and the wall Using a headset headphones If you would like to use a headset you can connect it to the jacks 3 and 4 of the right speaker Phones headphones Mic microphone Prerequisite for the microphone func tion The jack Mic Out 5 must be con nected

5. ere are electrical and mechanical parts in this unit which are essential in order to avoid exposure to sources of danger e Only use accessory products which are exclusively specified by the manu facturer e Do not insert any objects through the vent slots into the housing e Only use the unit in indoor areas do not use it in moist areas and protect it from drops of water or splash water Also take care not to stand vases or other containers filled with liquid on or near the unit in order to avoid liq uid getting into the housing If water or other foreign bodies should enter the unit disconnect it immediately from the mains power supply Send the unit to our service address in this case e Never touch the mains adapter with wet hands e Check the unit regularly for damage Danger Danger to children Children can become trapped in the packing film when play ing and suffocate e Do not allow children to play with the unit or the packing film Danger of suffocation e Ensure that children do not remove small parts from the unit or take them off of the unit e g control knobs or the like They could swallow the parts and choke Never allow children to operate electrical devices unsuper vised Danger to hearing Loud noise may lead to hear ing loss This may have psychological conse quences and also cause physical inju ry Children and pets are particularly at risk e Set your signal source unit volume co
6. n these instructions Danger High risk Failure to observe the warning may result in severe personal injury or death Attention Moderate risk Failure to observe the warning may result in property damage Minor risk Points which should be ob served when handling the unit Safety notes Danger Risk of electric shock Faulty installation of electri cal equipment or mains volt age which is too high can cause electric shocks Only use the enclosed mains adapter When connecting make sure that the right voltage is present More detailed information is available directly on the mains adapter e The switch in the volume control does not disconnect the unit from the pow er supply For this reason connect it to an easily accessible socket so that you can quickly disconnect it from the power supply in the event of faults e Immediately pull the mains adapter out of the socket if the casing is defec tive or exhibits other visible damages 4 Teufel Concept B 20 e Set up the unit so that the mains plug is easily accessible and no vent slots are blocked e If the unit emits smoke or smells of burning or other unusual odours dis connect it immediately from the power supply and do not operate it e Never open the unit housing Repairs may only be carried out by an authorised specialist workshop other wise any warranty claims are forfeit ed Only use parts which conform with the original unit specifications Th
