3. 7 Recovery 7 1 Recovery 5big Backup Server In case Windows Home Server or Disk 1 the disk that hosts the op erating system encounter problems the tools to restore or recover the server are included in the contents of your 5big Backup Server packaging 1 1 Box Content The process requires booting the server trom a system recovery USB 2 0 flash drive and running the 5big Backup Server Recovery DVD on a Windows workstation within the same network When running the 5big Backup Server Recovery DVD you will have the option to preserve data on the Storage Hard Drives reformat Disk 1 alone or erase all tiles by reverting the system back to factory settings While one hopes never to experience a problem it is critical to prepare for all eventualities Therefore soon after setting up your network server LaCie highly recommends that you create a server recovery USB 2 0 flash drive 7 1 1 Server Recovery USB 2 0 Flash Drive Server Recovery Key is a program that guides you through the server recovery disk creation in a few easy steps Server Recovery Key may be found within the contents of Server Recovery DVD gt Applica tions Betore starting please note the following Use a small capacity USB 2 0 flash drive 512 MB for ex ample as a recovery disk A USB 2 0 flash drive larger than 8GB may be problematic due to format conflicts Do not use older USB 1 1 or USB hard drives as system recovery disks Creating a system
