4. hard water areas can contribute to limescale build up in the tank To avoid these problems it is necessary to swill out with tapwater and empty the gener ator tank after every 3 or 4 uses In very hard water areas we recommend the use of our KALSTOP FP 2003 a special natural base decalcifier which inhibits and breaks down limescale making it easy to remove just by swilling out the tank with a little tapwater This is a preventive against scale build up and protects the metal walls of the steam generator tank KALSTOP is available from Polti dealers or by mail order from your Polti Service Centre We recommend only using original Polti products as other products may not be suitable for use with Polti appliances and may cause serious damage Never use distilled water or scented wa ter If you iron sitting down do not place your legs under the ironing board the steam can cause burns Iron only on heat resistant surfaces and on surfaces that allow the steam to escape e g mesh ironing boards For iron stand replacement use only original spare parts Check that the continuous steam request button is switched off before connecting the appliance to the mains The iron must be used and rested on a sta ble surface When placing the iron on its stand make sure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable This appliance is not intended for use by per sons including children with reduced physi cal sensory or me

6. 5 KIT 725 ZA Steam ironing allowed For dry ironing set thermostat on ees CA Steam ironing allowed For dry ironing set thermostat on cleaned to dissolve the soiling Press the rubber squeegee against the sur face to be cleaned moving it vertically from top to bottom with the suction function switched on Warning in particularly cold weather pre heat the windows by applying steam from a distance of about 50 cm from the surface to be cleaned PARQUET BRUSH PQ OPTIONAL The parquet brush is designed to clean delicate surfaces and therefore has bristles and wheels in material specially selected to avoid dama ging such surfaces JOKER BRUSH E OPTIONAL With the Joker brush it is possible to remove all types of solid or liquid dirt and it will work on any type of surface PARQUET ACCESSORY OPTIONAL This accessory is for use solely with the Joker brush Put the joker brush into place on the parquet accessory as illustrated in figure 12 Apply the brush to the accessory as indicated by the ar row so that the two pieces fit onto each other and then hook them together To unhook the parquet accessory from the joker brush pull the two levers on the sides of the fitting outwards and then lift the brush off Fig 13 USING THE IRON 715 KIT Vaporetto Lecoaspira can be quickly transfor med into a highly effective ironing system for effortless ironing in less time Simply attach the Vaporetto Lecoa

8. cessories holder slot on the appliance Fig 9 CONNECTION OF ACCESSORIES All Vaporetto Lecoaspira accessories may be connected directly to the handle A2 or to the extension tubes D Proceed as follows to connect up the accesso ries for suction and steam cleaning D E K N Position the accessory locknut C on every accessory in the OPEN position fig A ENGLISH ENGLISH LECOASPIRA 715 715 KIT 725 e Attach the selected accessory to the handle Move button C to the CLOSED position fig B Ensure the connection is secure An additional fastening button is located on the flexible steam suction tubes D Pro ceed as shown previously for the other ac cessories and attach the tubes by sliding the button to the locked position To connect accessories for suction only F M Q R T TB simply connect them without hoo king them up using the locknut IMPORTANT in this case it is important to disable the steam function using the safety button A3 to prevent accidental releasing of steam SUCTION OF SOLIDS AND LIQUIDS This appliance can be used to suck up dust or liquids equally easily However if the water in the filter is very dirty it should be replaced proceeding as described in the section Emptying and cleaning the dirt container ATTENTION When the sucked up dirt reaches the maximum level in the dirt con tainer 20 suction is automatically blocked by the safety float

11. er any changes in colour or defor 59 mations have occurred before proceeding fur ther ensuring exactly the same steam power and distance as in the test When cleaning wooden surfaces furniture doors etc and brick floors always proceed with caution since excessive use of steam could damage the wax the polish or the colour of the surface to be cleaned It is therefore ad visable to apply the steam to these surfaces only for short periods at a time or to clean them with a cloth that has been treated with steam On particularly delicate surfaces e g synthetic materials enamelled surfaces etc we strongly recommend using the steam at its low est output power When cleaning glazed sur faces if the weather is particularly cold pre heat the glass working at distance of about 50 cm away from the surface To take care of your plants we recommend spraying them from a distance of at least 50 cm UNIVERSAL BRUSH E Use this brush on large surfaces ceramic mar ble and parquet floors carpets etc applying the following inserts e Bristle fitting E2 for suction only e Liquid suction inserts E3 recommended for washing floors and picking up any moisture Insert for fitted carpet E4 recommended for rugs and carpets The universal brush may be connected directly to the handle or to the sheath with the exten sion tubes D ASSEMBLING INSERTS To attach the different fittings on the universal brush sli
12. especially when the appliance is still hot Do not use the appliance to suck up acids or solvents as these might cause serious dam age to the appliance and above all do not suck in explosive dust or liquids as these could cause explosions on coming into con tact with the inside components of the appli ance Do not vacuum up toxic substances Do not suck up burning or incandescent ob jects such as embers ash or other material in which combustion is taking place Water tank can be filled with tap water Do not vacuum up materials such as cement chalk etc which solidify once they came in contact with water thus damaging the appli ance During refilling with water switch off and dis connect the appliance from the mains It is necessary to keep the unit in horizontal position during operation Do not direct the steam jet on electrical appli ances Leave the appliance to cool down before cleaning it Before storing the appliance be sure that it LECOASPIRA 715 715 KIT 725 has completely cooled down This appliances is eguipped with safety de vices which are to be replaced only by a suit ably gualified technician Do not direct the steam jet at people ani mals or debris Never place your hands inside the jet of steam ATTENTION Danger of burns Do not put any detergent or chemical sub stance in the boiler Water by its nature con tains magnesium mineral salts and other de posits which in

14. f surface to be treated The numbers are those indicated on the control panel 1 for curtains 2 for sofas and cushions 3 for carpets 4 for hard flooring and for collecting liquids Use of the suction controls Simply by pressing the suction button A4 you will be able to start suction You will be able to select the speed required for the type of surface to be treated by keeping the suction button A4 pressed When you in crease the suction power one of the indicator lamps 5 on the control panel will light up and when you lower it one of the lamps 5 will ex tinguish To turn the appliance off just press the suction button A4 NOTE when you switch on the suction the ap pliance will restart from the speed it was at the time of switching off SUPPLY GABLE STORAGE Before putting away the Vaporetto Lecoaspira store the supply cable 13 in its compartment 15 proceeding as follows Take out the dirt container 20 as indicated in the paragraph preparation for use Manually wind the cable evenly and putit in the storage 15 making it go through the power supply cable canal 14 Fig 8 Put the dirt container 20 back in its place making sure it is correctly positioned USE OF THE ACCESSORIES HOLDER The accessories holder 16 allows you to fix the tube with the brush mounted on it on the body of the appliance To attach the hose to the appliance slide the hook on the hose into the ac
15. f the sole plate mixed with the steam due to imperfect heat stabilisation It is therefore advisable to direct the first jet of steam onto a rag In order to obtain a continuous jet of steam move the sliding switch W1 The steam will continue to come out even when the steam request button X is released To stop the flow of steam push the sliding switch back wards W1 RECOMMENDED TECHNIQUE for STEAM iro ning with Polti iron is APPLY steam button X ENGLISH ENGLISH LECOASPIRA 715 715 KIT 725 on the upstroke then release button X so no steam for the backstroke so reclosing the fi bres preventing oversteaming and wetness DRY IRONING FOR DRY IRONING ONLY NOT steam iro ning press the main switch 1 and adjust the temperature of the iron by turning dial Y to the temperature required for the fabric as shown on the dial NOTE using the iron it is advisable to adjust the steam jet at a medium range or to do some testing in order to find the jet which is more suitable to the fabric to be ironed IMPORTANT NOTE Do not leave the iron unattended whilst con nected to the mains Iron only on heat resistant surfaces and on surfaces that allow the steam to escape e g mesh ironing boards In case of accidental fall of the appliance it is necessary to have it checked by an author ized service center as the internal safety fea tures may have been affected e ATTENTION if you iron sittin
16. g down do not place your legs under the ironing board the steam can cause burns GENERAL MAINTENANCE Before carrying out any type of maintenance make sure that the power cable has been dis connected from the mains After using the brushes it is advisable to allow the bristles to cool in their natural position so as to avoid them getting deformed in any way Check the conditions of the gaskets located in side the monobloc plug B2 periodically If necessary replace them with the appropriate spares Also carry out the same check on the gaskets for connecting the extension tubes D and the handle A2 To clean the outside of the appliance just use a damp cloth Do not use solvents or deter gents as these might damage the plastic sur face 62 To clean the ECOACTIVE FILTER holder and clean or change the sponge filter follow the in structions in the paragraph headed EMPTY ING AND CLEANING THE DIRT CON TAINER WASHABLE HEPA FILTER WARNING Vaporetto Lecoaspira is equipped with a washable filter To clean the filter pro ceed as follows Unfasten the handle 22 of the dirt container and remove the container 20 as described in the paragraph headed PREPARING THE APPLIANCE FOR USE Lift the Hepa filter release lever 18 and re move the filter from its recess Fig 14 Rinse the filter in cold running water Shake it gently after washing to eliminate any residual dirt and excess wat
17. he EcoActiveFilter water filter assembly 23 back into the dirt container 20 ATTENTION make the arrow on the elbow tube 27 coincide with the reference on the fil ter body with microholed net 26 Fig 116 Put the dirt container 20 back in its place as described in the preparation for use para graph Note make sure you empty the dirt container 20 before putting your Vaporetto Lecoaspira away One of the great advantages of Vaporetto Lecoaspira is precisely the fact that it is possi ble to put it away clean How to clean the dirt container As itis possible to suction up liguids it is very easy to clean the dirt container in your Lecoaspira When you have finished cleaning empty the dirt container as described and put it back in its housing in the machine Suction up about one and a half litres of clean water turning on the suction for a few seconds The whirlpool created inside the dirt container will rinse the walls and dislodge any dirt Clean water cleans the inside of the tubes as it passes through them Now empty the dirt con tainer again and put the Vaporetto Lecoaspira away TIP FOR USING THE ACCESSORIES Before treating leather special fabrics espe cially dralon and velvet or wooden surfaces with steam consult the manufacturer s instruc tions and always proceed only after carrying out a test on a hidden part or a sample Allow the area treated with steam to dry and then check wheth
18. l start up at the minimum speed and the first stage of the in dicator lamp set 5 will stop flashing and re main on For correct use of the suction func tion read the section Suction control switching off Note The handle A2 has a safety button A3 which when set in locked position pre vents activation of the delivery of steam If the appliance is left temporarily unattended while it is in an activated condition please remember to place the safety button A3 in the locked position To resume delivery re turn the button to its initial position You can supply steam by pressing the steam button A5 on the handle At the same time you can also control suction by pressing the suction button A4 Operation with suction only If you wish to use the suction function only press the main switch 1 the first level of the suction indicators 5 will start to flash By pressing the suction button A4 on the handle A2 the suction fan will start to run at the lowest speed and the first stage of the indicator lamp 5 will stop flashing and re main steadily lit For correct use of the suc tion read the section Suction con trol switching off LECOASPIRA 715 715 KIT 725 Operation with steam only e Press the main switch 1 the first level of the suction indicators 5 will start to flash Press the boiler switch 2 which will light up Wait for the pressure indicator lamp 4 to light up When it d

22. oes the Vaporetto Lecoaspira will be ready to generate steam You may now deliver steam by pressing the steam button A5 on the handle e If you decide not to use the steam anymore you may switch off the boiler by pressing the boiler switch 2 FILLING THE BOILER Thanks to the self filling function there is no longer any need to stop and wait to fill up the boiler the again When the water inside the boiler reaches its low level the level probe will automatically acti vate a pump that will fill the boiler from the tank When there is no more water left in the self fill ing tank this will be shown by the out of water switch 3 and you will also be warned by an audible signal In order to continue working proceed as de scribed in the section on Preparation for use REGULATION OF THE STEAM FLOW Vaporetto Lecoaspira will enable you to opti mise the steam flow by means of the control knob 8 Fig 7 To obtain a higher flow rate turn the knob in a clockwise direction When the knob is turned in an anti clockwise direc tion the flow rate decreases High flow rate of steam to remove caked dirt stains grease and to sanitise Normal flow rate of steam for wall to wall and loose carpeting windows floors Low flow rate of steam for spraying plants cleaning delicate fabrics wallpaper SUCTION CONTROL SWITCHING OFF You will be able to control the force of suction depending on the type o
