1. If you are ready with the jumper settings for the card please proceed with the following installation instructions Because the designs of computers are different only general installation instructions are given Please refer your computer s reference manual when ever in doubt 1 Turn off the power to your computer and any other connected peripherals 2 Remove the mounting screws located at the rear and or sides panels of your Com puter and gently slide the cover off 3 If necessary please install now the external power supply to the card like shown at JP1 amp J6 above 4 Locate an available PCI expansion slot and remove its covers from the rear panel of your computer 5 Align the card with the expansion slot and then gently but firmly insert the card Make sure the card is seated and oriented correctly 6 Then connect the card with a screw to the rear panel of the computer 7 Gently replace your computer s cover and the mounting screws DRIVER INSTALLATION Windows 98 and ME Please insert the driver CD into your CD Rom drive for example D and open the folder D USB 2 0 NEC WIN9Y x on the CD Now start the file U2v2_1 exe by double click on your mouse and follow the setup program to finish installation process After that shut down windows and follow the instructions for the Hardware installation After installing the card simply start your computer and the card will be installed automatically by2. 5. ce Pack verwenden Installieren Sie bitte zuerst die Treiber von der CD wie unter Treiber Installation beschrieben Wenn sie die Treiber Installation abgeschlossen haben oder sie Windows 2000 mit SP4 oder XP inkl Service Pack 1 oder 2 verwenden Fahren sie bitte mit der Hardware Installation wie folgt fort Beachten Sie bitte die folgenden Installationshinweise Da es grosse Unterschiede bei Computern gibt k nnen wir Ihnen nur eine generelle Anleitung zum Einbau der Karte geben Bei Unklarheiten halten Sie sich bitte an die Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Computer systems 1 Schalten Sie Ihren Rechner und alle angeschlossenen Peripherieger te aus und ziehen Sie bei allen Ger ten den Netzstecker 2 L sen Sie die Schrauben des Geh uses auf der R ckseite Ihres Computers und entfernen Sie vorsichtig das Geh use 3 Gegebenenfalls installieren sie nun die externe Stromversorgung zur Entlastung des Mainboards siehe Jumper Einstellung und Anschl sse JP1 amp J6 4 Suchen Sie jetzt einen freien PCI Steckplatz und stecken Sie die Karte vorsichtig in den ausgew hlten PCI Steckplatz ein Beachten Sie das die Karte korrekt einge steckt wird und das kein Kurzschluss entsteht 5 Danach befestigen Sie die Karte mit einer Schraube am Geh use 6 Jetzt das Computergeh use mit den Schrauben wieder schliessen TREIBER INSTALLATION Windows 98 und ME Legen Sie bitte die Treiber CD in Ihr CD ROM Laufwerk z B D und ffne
