3. d as follows Disconnect the refrigerator from its power source by removing the plug from the wall socket Remove all food Clean and dry the inside as instructed in the directions given above for cleaning Leave the door open to help prevent the build up of mold or unpleasant odors while the refrigerator is not in use Replacing the light bulb If it is necessary to replace the light bulb obtain a replacement E14 screw cap type 15W appliance bulb from your local lighting fixture or hardware store Switch off the unit then disconnect the power cord from its socket Remove the old bulb and screw its replacement securely into the bulb socket Plug in the power cord and switch the unit on SUMMIT APPLIANCE Page 8 Troubleshooting If your appliance is experiencing operating difficulties check this list of problems and solutions first to avoid the cost of an unnecessary service call Appliance does not work at all e The power supply plug is not inserted in the wall socket or the plug and outlet are loose Power may not be reaching the electric socket being used by the refrigerator This can be checked by plugging a light or any other electric appliance into the socket The voltage is too low Appliance is running noisily e The appliance has not been properly leveled e The refrigerator is in contact with the wall e The shelves or other accessories in the refrigerator are in the wrong position Appliance do
4. es not cool sufficiently e The door has been opened too often or has been left open for a while e There is not enough clearance around the refrigerator e There is too much food in the refrigerator e The temperature has not been set properly There is an odor inside the appliance e Some of the food is not properly wrapped or covered e The inside of the refrigerator needs cleaning If your refrigerator shows other symptoms than those described above or if you have checked all items listed as the cause and the problem still exists then call SUMMIT Customer Service at 1 800 932 4267 Page 9 SUMMIT APPLIANCE The following are part of normal operation and should not be a cause for concern 1 Refrigerant surging through the system produces a gentle sound like water running in pipes 2 When the atmosphere is humid the outer surface of the refrigerator may be covered with moisture which should simply be wiped away 3 During summer operation the compressor and the rear condenser may become hot enough to burn your hand SUMMIT APPLIANCE Page 10 Page 11 SUMMIT APPLIANCE WARRANTY ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY Within the 48 contiguous United States for one year from the date of purchase when this appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product warrantor will pay for factory specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship Serv
