2. 2 Press and hold the delete button for 3 seconds The memory location will be cleared REVIEWING NUMBERS STORED IN MEMORY 1 Press the store button 2 Press 0 9 for the memory location The number shows on the display Copy CALLER ID MEMORY TO USER MEMORY 1 Pickup the handset 2 Press the review or w button to display the number you want to copy 3 Press the store button 4 Press 0 9 for the memory location The display flashes if the memory location is occupied Press either review aor w button to select an empty location The number is automatically stored to the empty location 5 Press the hook switch to exit Copy REDIAL MEMORY TO USER MEMORY 1 Press REDIAL when holding the hookswitch 2 Press STORE 3 Press 0 9 for the memory location The display will flash if the memory location is occupied Press review a or w to select a different location Press FLASH or the hook switch to exit STORING A PAUSE IN MEMORY The REDIAL button has dual functionality and becomes a PAUSE button when the STORE button is pressed first It is valid only when storing a number into memory locations Use the PAUSE REDIAL button to insert a pause when a delay is needed in an automatic dialing sequence For example when you must dial a 9 to get an outside line or when you enter codes to access your long distance company You may need to adjust the length of the pause duration It can be adjusted from 1 to 9 seconds The default setting

4. like the one Rs pictured here If you don t have a modular jack call your local phone company to find out how to get one installed INSTALLATION CAUTION Disconnect the phone cord from the wall outlet before installing or replacing the batteries IMPORTANTINSTALLATIONINFORMATION e Never install telephone wiring during a lightning storm Nevertouch uninsulated telephone wires or terminals unless the telephone line has been disconnected at the network interface e Usecaution when installing or modifying telephone lines e Neverinstall telephone jacks in wet locations unless the jack is specifically designed for wet locations INSTALLINGTHE BATTERIES IMPORTANT You will have approximately 90 seconds to replace the batteries before the memories stored in the handset are lost Please read the instructions before replacing the batteries and have the batteries ready to be inserted beforehand As a precaution you may want to write down any stored information you do not want erased Your Caller ID phone uses 4 AA size alkaline batteries for receiving and storing Caller ID records and for the numbers you use for memory dialing Batteries not included 1 If both the straight and coiled line cords are already connected disconnect them from the base unit Place the handset off to the side 2 Slide the battery doors in the direction of the arrows 3 Insert 4 AA size alkaline batteries as shown on the diagram in the battery comp

CALLS This unit receives and displays information transmitted by your local phone company This information can include the phone number date and time or the name phone number date and time The unit can store up to 64 calls for later review When the memory is full a new call automatically replaces the oldest call in memory NEW CALL appears in the display for calls received that have not been reviewed REVIEWING CALL RECORDS Press the reviw button to scroll through the call records from the most recent to the oldest e Press the review a button to scroll through the call records from the oldest to the newest e When all of the messages have been viewed START END appears in the display DELETING CALL RECORDS e To delete the record shown in the display press the delete button once e To delete all records while reviewing press and hold the delete button for about 3 seconds ERASE ALL appears in the display Press ERASE again to complete DIALING BACK When reviewing Caller ID records you can dialback the numbers shown on the display by pressing the DIAL button 1 Use either review 4 or Y button to display the number you want to dial 2 Press the dial button and the display shows PICKUP OR ADJUST 10 second timer will appear in the upper right concer of the display and count down time until returns to the idle model 3 Press the dial button to adjust the number each times you press dial button

7. artments Two batteries willbe inserted for each compartment 4 Replace the battery compartment doors securely 5 If the cords were previously connected re attach the line cords to the unit and check your memory locations IMPORTANT Batteries must be installed for the Caller ID to operate If youre not going to use the telephone for more than 30 days remove the batteries because they can leak and damage the unit DESKTOP INSTALLATION 1 Plug the coiled cord into the handset and plug the other end into the jack on the left side of the base 2 Plug the straight line cord into jack onthe bottom of the base and plug the other end into amodular phone jack 3 Set the RINGER switch on the base to the desired position A Sound will be loudest N Sound will be lower X Telephone will not ring WALL MOUNTINSTALLATION 1 Plug the line cord into the jack on the bottom of the base and plug the other end to amodular phone jack 2 Feed the line cord through the grooves provided on the bottom of the base so that the base areais flat and ready to mount on the wall 3 Slip the mounting holes of the base on bottom of unit over the wall plate posts and slide the base down until the phone is firmly in place 4 Plug the coiled cord into the handset and plug the other end into the jack on the left side of the base 5 Set the RINGER switch on the base to the desired position I Sound will be loudest
8. d to enter the telephone number up to 32 digits If you make a mistake use the delete button to delete wrong digits 5 Press STORE button again to save the number The cursor will flash on the name line 6 Use the keypad to store aname up to 13 characters More than one letter is stored in each of the number keys For example to enter Bill Smith press the 2 key twice for the letter B Press the 4 key 3 times for the letter Press the 5 key 3 times for the letter L and either press the w button to advance the flashing cursor to the next entry point or wait 2 seconds until the flashing cursor automatically moves to the next entry point Press the 5 key 3 times for the second letter L and either press the v 2 times to advance the flashing cursor to the next entry point or wait 2 seconds until the flashing cursor automatically moves to the next entry point Press the 7 key 4 times for the letter S press the 6 key once for the letter M press the 4 key 3 times for the letter press the 8 key for the letter T press the 4 key twice for the letter H 7 Press the STORE button again to save the name 8 To enter another name and number in a different memory location wait 15 seconds and return to step 1 and repeat the process DIALING FREQUENTLY CALLED NUMBERS 1 Pick up the handset and press the mem button 2 Press 0 9 for the memory location The number dials automatically ERASING A STORED NUMBER 1 Press STORE to go to review mode
9. h 4 Set the RINGER switch to the OFF position when you do not want to be interrupted by the phone ringing PLACING A PHONE CALL 1 Lift the handset and wait for a dial tone 2 Dial the telephone number you wish to call 3 You can adjust the volume of the caller s voice by sliding the Receiver volume switch TEMPORARY TONE DIALING If you have pulse service you can temporarily change from pulse to tone service After dialing the telephone number press and release the button on the telephone After a brief pause the phone will dial the tone digits This allows access to phone services that require a tone such as banking and long distance services After you hang up the handset the telephone automatically returns to pulse service VOLUME CONTROL This feature allows you to increase the listening volume in the receiver of the handset when speaking with your party When needed slide the Receiver volume switch REDIAL A NUMBER If you want to call the last number you dialed again up to 32 digits use the redial feature 1 Press redial button when holding the hook switch 2 Use review 4 or button to scroll the dialed out telephone number total less than 10 3 Release hook switch and the number can be dialed out automatically PRE DIAL FUNCTION You can key in the number when holding the hookswitch This number can be dial out automatically when releasing the hookswitch Press delete or FLASH button will delete the

11. l be invalid SETTING THECID DISPLAY LANGUAGE This adjustment changes the Caller ID messages to be displayed in English French or Spanish 1 Press the options button SET OR wappears in the display 2 Press the review up button until CID LANGUAGE appears in the display 3 Press the options button to show the current language setting The default is English 4 Press review up or down to change the language 5 Press options to store the language and return to the CID LANGUAGE display SETTING THETIME In some area the real time will not be updated by CID data The real time clock can be set manually in set up manual 1 Press the options button SET a OR v appears 2 Press either review 4 orv button until Set Time appears 3 To enter and change the Real Time press the options button The current display time will be flashing 4 Press review to adjust and review w to next item 5 Press options button again to store the setting SETTING THE DIALING MODE This adjustment allows you to select tone touch tone or pulse rotary dialing 1 Press the options button until SET OR appears 2 Press the review up or down button until T P DIAL MODE appears in the display 3 Press the options button to show the current dial mode The default is set to tone 4 To change the dialing mode press review up or down The display will alternate between the two dialing modes 5 Press the options button to store the dialing mode and
