Surround EX and the double D symbol are trademarks of Dolby Laborato ries 2 DTS DTS ES Extended Surround and Neo 6 are trademarks of Digital Theater Systems Inc Before Using the TX SR501 TX SR501E Setting the Voltage Selector Worldwide model only The Worldwide model has a voltage selector for compatibil ity with power systems around the world Before you plug in this model make sure that the voltage selector is set to the correct voltage for your area If it isn t use a small screw driver to set it as appropriate For example if the voltage in your area is 120 volts V set the selector to 120V And if it s between 220 and 230 volts V set it to 220 230V VOLTAGE SELECTOR 120V L 220 230V Installing the Batteries 1 Open the battery compartment as shown 2 Insert the two supplied batteries AA R6 in accordance with the polarity diagram inside the battery compartment Notes e The supplied batteries should last for about six months although this will vary with usage If the remote controller doesn t work reliably try replacing both batteries e Don t mix new and old batteries or different types of bat teries e If you intend not to use the remote controller for a long time remove the batteries to prevent possible leakage and corrosion e Flat
