O FF Panel Dimmer Control Use to adjust the brightness of the instrument panel during headlamp and parklamp operation Rotate to the right to brighten and to the left to dim Rotate fully to the right to also turn on the domelamp To turn off the domelamp rotate to the left TTT E iiil Service Engine Soon Lamp llluminates briefly to ensure the system is functional If the light comes on after the engine is started please refer to your O wner s Guide To help prevent activation always secure your fuel cap by turning it clockwise 1 8 of a turn until it stops If the fuel cap is not properly secured the warning Check Fuel Cap will also be displayed on the message center The warning will be reset once the cap is properly tightened and your vehicle is driven a short distance ABS Warning Lamp Illuminates briefly when the ignition is turned to the ON position In an emergency apply continuous force on the brake to prevent wheel lock when braking on slippery surfaces do not pump your brakes Any pulsation or noise you may feel or hear is normal Electronic Message Center Please see reverse side for more details Gearshift Overdrive Control O verdrive is the normal drive position for the best fuel economy O nly deactivate O FF overdrive when driving with a heavy load towing a trailer up or down steep hills or when additonal engine braking is desired To deactivate press

5. close the trunk You can render the switch inoperable by locking the button with your master key To close the trunk gently push the trunk down until you feel it latch The power down latch will then complete the full closing of the trunk Do not slam your trunk or force it downward Essential Information Fuel Tank Capacity Tire Pressure Your tire pressure is properly set at the dealership according to the recommended specifications found on the Certification Label located on the front door latch pillar on the driver s side Please check your tire pressure during routine maintenance and seasonal changes Warning Improperly inflated tires can affect vehicle handling and can fail suddenly possibly resulting in loss of vehicle control Fuses If electrical components in the vehicle are not working a fuse may have blown For more information about changing the fuse please consult your O wner s Guide Changing the Tires If you get a flat tire while driving do not apply the brake heavily Instead gradually decrease your speed Hold the steering wheel firmly and slowly move to a safe place on the side of the road Your vehicle is equipped with a temporary spare tire The temporary spare is smaller than a regular tire and is designed for emergency use only Replace this tire with a full size tire as soon as possible Also be sure to turn OFF the air suspension switch if equipped prior to jacking hoisting or towing you
6. e ignition is in the ON position The message center allows you to check distance traveled monitor the average speed and fuel economy check the on off status of the speed control and air suspension system see problems such as check gauge see a more accurate speed than your analog speedometer while driving see how many kilometers miles you can drive before running out of fuel and see how many liters gallons of fuel remain in the fuel tank Remote Trunk This control is located on the driver s door trim panel and can be operated at any time except when your perimeter alarm system is armed You may also open your trunk using your key fob or the optional keyless entry system Release You can select different features for the message center to display by using the message center controls located in the center of the instrument panel Please refer to your Owner s Guide for complete details on the message center display features Select Each press of this control will select a different feature as follows SPEED FUELECON DIST TO EMPTY AVG SPEED TRIP A TRIP B E M For descriptions of the SELECT features please refer to your Owner s Guide Reset Press this control to reset the selected message center function to zero The only functions that can be reset are FUEL ECON and TRIP A TRIP B Control Press the control to open the trunk If your vehicle is equipped with a power trunk press the button again to

8. ess to select the next previous track on the current disc Tape Select To begin tape play while in radio mode press the tape control Scan Function In radio mode press to hear a sampling of all listenable stations In tape or CD mode press to hear a brief sampling of all selections Select press to adjust sound output and distribution after selecting BASS TREB BAL or FADE Autoset Memory Preset Select AM FM 1 or FM2 band then press AUTO SET to activate autoset memory preset which allows you to set strong radio stations without losing your original manually set preset stations Press again to deactivate autoset Setting Memory Preset Stations Select AM FM1 or FM2 band then select a station Next press and hold a control until the sound returns CDs with adhesive labels and irregularly shaped CDs may get stuck in the CD player Homemade CDs should be identified with permanent felt tip marker rather than adhesive labels Climate Control System Temperature Selection To control the temperature for the driver and for the passenger select the desired temperature by pressing the driver s or passenger s temperature control 8 Outside Temperature Press to display the outside air temperature Press again to disengage aan c Fan Speed To adjust manually use the control to raise or lower the fan speed Automatic Operation In addition to determining fan spe
