6. such as Copy IFX on the PS60 itself the data in the Editor and the data in the PS60 may lose synchronization In this case use a UTILITY menu command such as Receive Current Prog in the Editor to receive a data dump of the current data To save a performance choose the utility menu command Store Performance To save global settings choose the utility menu command Write Global Setting You can also save by clicking the DUMP button located in the upper right of each page Be aware that if you fail to perform these operations edits you make to the global parameters will not be reflected on the PS60 itself Some pages do not have the DUMP button 28 Utility commands Load Loads editor data that was previously saved on the computer Save Saves data from the editor to your computer as a file Note These functions load or save the data as dedicated files for the editor application Store Performance Write Program These commands send the current data that was modified in the editor to the PS60 itself and writes the data into internal memory Initialize Performance This command initializes the settings of the performance that s currently selected Copy Swap Remove These commands provide the same functionality as in the PS60 s Command menu as well as functionality that s specific to the editor The Command menu appropriate for the data handled within each tab page will appear Receive All Receives a

In Performance mode you can use the up down arrows located at the right to switch performances or click the performance name to open the browser and view a list of performances Edit Pages Tabs These are used to select the page that you want to edit Performance Control EASY SETUP Here you can specify the function of the six knobs and control each timbre s volume octave and MFX 1 2 send levels Timbre Selector Here you can turn each timbre on off SPLIT SETTING CTRL Here you can choose the split setting This function is different than the PS60 s own SPLIT SETTING button it specifies the internal State SUB OFF Split off MAIN LOWER Assign the main timbres to the region at the left of the split point lower region MAIN UPPER Assign the main timbres to the region at the right of the split point upper region CTRL This switches the EASY SETUP and Timbre Selector functionality shown in Easy Setup MAIN is always shown if SUB OFF is selected Effect Here you can edit the MFX1 MODULATION MFX2 REVERB DELAY and EQ parameters If MFX1 or MFX2 are off checkbox the effect name is grayed out Keyboard This section consists of an 88 note keyboard a pitch bend wheel and a modulation wheel You can click the keyboard to play notes and even play a glissando by dragging over the keyboard to the left or right You can use the pitch bend wheel and modulation wheel by dragging them upward or downward

SEND 2 REV DLY SEND The EASY SETUP knobs will affect only the selected timbre SPLIT SETTING and CTRL will be unavailable EAST BETUP A ARANO EMANO ORGAN STRINGS BRASS SYNTH LUME MOG SENG k as ee Pt Se AT BPLIT SETTING GC TRL 24 The upper part of the Quick page is the overview area which shows the current value of the most important parameters in program edit mode This overview area displays the parameters organized by section By clicking the name of each parameter section such as Pitch EG or Filter 1 EG you can jump to the page tab for editing those parameters y The Basic tab and subsequent edit pages allow you to edit all of the parameters that cannot be edited from the PS60 itself The IFX and MFX EQ tab pages allow you to edit all of the effect parameters that cannot be edited from the PS60 itself Parameter names shown in purple are the effect parameters that can be edited from the PS60 The IFX tab page also allows you to select the IFX effect Sendi Ez 662 Organ Vibrato Chorus J e Send 1 Send oe Organ Vibrato Chorus 25 Selecting pages and tabs When you want to perform detailed editing you can switch to other pages and tabs to access the desired parameters Global mode is divided into separate pages where you can edit category names and scales temperaments Select the desired page or tab and proceed to edit the settings e To sele

11. s that you want to use Using the procedure described above begin with step 1 and install the plug in version s that you want to use If you don t want to install the VST plug in version or RTAS plug in version click Exit Setup to end the installation When you ve finished installing the application s you want click Exit Setup to exit the installer Installation in Mac OS X To install the PS60 Editor and PS60 Plug In Editor into Mac OS X use the following procedure 4 You must install the KORG USB MIDI Driver if you want to connect the PS60 to your computer via USB and use the PS60 Editor or the PS60 Plug In Editor For details on installing the KORG USB MIDI Driver refer to the Install Guide Insert the included CD ROM into your CD ROM drive 2 Start up the installer by double clicking on PS60 Editor Installer pkg located in the PS60 Editor folder of the CD ROM 3 Depending on the version of your Mac s operating system a confirmation dialog box may appear at this point If required please enter your password and click OK When the installer starts up the following screen will appear Click Continue s Install KORG P560 Editor Welcome to the KORG PS60 Editor Installer Introduction Read Me License Destination ela t Install AA pe e lation Go Back Continue PA Important information will appear Read the contents and click Conti

17. cally sets the PS60 s Local Control setting to the appropriate state when you start up the editor We recommend that you normally leave this parameter on The PS60 s Local Control setting will be reset to its original state when you close the editor MIDI Settings MIDI Settings gt PSEH 1 KEYBOARD gt PS6e 1 SOUND Here you can adjust settings for MIDI connections between the PS60 Editor and the PS60 31 MIDI IN Port MIDI OUT Port This selects the connection port for the PS60 and the PS60 Editor The name of the MIDI port that s currently connected is shown You won t need to change this setting if the PS60 and the PS60 Editor are connected correctly since the PS60 Editor will search for the PS60 when it starts up and will specify the MIDI port automatically 32 Cautions USB connection If you lose data synchronization with the PS60 when starting up the editor please check the following points e If you re using USB MIDI you must use the KORG USB MIDI Driver The default driver provided by the operating system may have an extremely slow data transfer rate or may not communicate correctly e If vou re using a USB hub try connecting the PS60 directly to a USB port on the computer itself to see whether it will work You can also try removing all other connected USB devices except for the PS60 itself When you lose data synchronization please perform the Receive All or Transmit All funct
18. connected to your computer via USB you must make sure that you ve finished installing and setting up the KORG USB MIDI Driver before you start up the PS60 Editor 1 Use a USB cable to connect the PS60 s USB connector to the USB port of your computer 2 In the PS60 s Global mode make sure that MIDI Filter SysE X is on the check box should be checked The factory setting 1s of amp If you turn off the MIDI Filter SysEx setting of the PS60 itself after starting up the PS60 Editor the PS60 and the PS60 Editor will become unable to communicate Likewise loading the preload data into the PS60 will cause the MIDI Filter SysEx to be turned off the factory setting meaning that the PS60 and the PS60 Editor will become unable to communicate If this occurs you ll need to turn the PS60 s MIDI Filter SysEx setting back on PS60 Editor stand alone version setup Start up the PS60 Editor and verify that it s operating correctly Windows XP Windows Vista Windows 7 Starting up the PS60 Editor In the taskbar click the Start button and then All Programs From the menu choose KORG PS60 PS60 Editor to start up the editor Alternatively you can navigate to the KORG folder PS60 folder and double click the PS60 Editor exe icon located there The KORG folder will be in the location you selected when installing the software By default 1t will be in the
