4. the pitch sounded by the GT 120 and tune your instrument accordingly To return to Meter mode press the AUTO MANUAL switch Flat tuning When the TUNING TYPE dial is set to GUITAR or BASS you can use Meter mode or Sound mode to tune to a pitch that is lowered by 1 4 semitones b bbb for the specified note 1 As described in Meter mode or Sound mode make the note you wish to flatten by 1 4 semitones appear in the LCD display Set the TUNING TYPE dial to either GUITAR or BASS Flat tuning can only be used for these selections 2 Press the FLAT switch to select the number of semitones that you wish to lower the selected note The LCD screen will indicate b bbb 1 4 semitones 3 Tune your instrument Replacing the batteries and the memory function As the batteries begin to run down accurate tuning will become more difficult Check the battery indicator in the LCD display and replace the batteries as soon as necessary The batteries are also used to preserve the memory when the power is turned off allowing the reference pitch meter mode manual and the note you selected for Sound mode to be remembered Memory function amp When the batteries are removed or if they run down completely the various settings preserved by the memory function will be reset If an AC adapter is connected to the GT 120 and plugged into an AC outlet the settings will not be reset Even if you are using the GT 120 wi

8. th an AC adapter you should leave the batteries installed 1 Press lightly and slide in the direction of the arrow to open RG the lid of the battery case Adjustment screw 3 Close the lid of the battery case 2 Insert two AAA Oo batteries Be careful to observe the correct polarity Adjusting the zero point of the meter needle If the GT 120 is jarred while being transported etc or due to normal ag ing after extended use the VU style meter may drift away from the 0 position center Please re adjust the VU style meter to the 0 position so that tuning will be accurate 1 While holding down the AUTO MANUAL switch turn the power switch ON and check whether the meter needle indicates the 0 posi tion N If it does not indicate the 0 position refer to the diagram in the above section Replacing the batteries and the memory function open the battery cover and use a small Philips screwdriver such as a jeweler s screwdriver to rotate the adjustment control so that the needle indicates 0 Q After making the adjustment or if the meter needle indicated 0 in step 1 press any one of the switches to return to normal operation and close the battery cover Scale 12 note equal temperament A0 C8 C2 C7 5 octaves Meter auto manual Sound manual Range Reference tone Tuning modes Flat tuning 1 4 semitones semitone steps Calibration range A4 438 445 Hz 1 Hz steps
