INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS YORKVILLE 1 6 GPF TWO PRESSURE ASSISTED TOILETS Model 2320 Elongated Model 2325 Elongated PIECE Thank you for selecting American Standard the benchmark of fine quality for over 100 years To ensure this product is installed properly please read these instructions carefully before you begin Certain installations may require professional help Also be sure your installation conforms to local codes A CAUTION PRODUCT IS FRAGILE TO AVOID BREAKAGE AND POSSIBLE INJURY HANDLE WITH CARE NOTE For proper operation these products require a minimum of 20 psi line pressure RECOMMENDED TOOLS AND MATERIALS Putty Knife Neoprene or Graphite Felt Gasket Regular Screwdriver Closet FLange Set IE REMOVE OLD TOILET Adjustable Wrench Carpenters Level Tape Measure Hacksaw Flexible Supply Tube 2 5 16 Lag Bolts Sealant Close toilet supply valve and flush tank completely Towel or sponge remaining water from tank and bowl Disconnect and remove supply line NOTE f replacing valve first shut off main water supply Remove old mounting hardware remove toilet and plug wall waste opening to prevent escaping sewer gases Remove closet bolts from flange and clean away old wax putty etc from base area NOTE Mounting surface must be clean and perpendicular to the floor before new toilet is installed FINISHED WALL 495mm FLUSH TO 19 1 2 1 16 16mm EXPOSED CLOSET
4. e rubber gasket over threaded outlet on bottom of tank and lower tank onto bowl so that tapered end of gasket fits evenly into bowl water inlet opening and tank mounting bolts go through mounting holes Secure with metal washers and nuts With tank parallel to wall alternately tighten nuts until tank is snugged down evenly against bowl s sanitary ribs a Position toilet squarely to wall and with a rocking motion push bowl against ring and flange Alternately tighten nuts until toilet is firmly anchored CAUTION DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN NUTS OR BASE MAY BE DAMAGED Insert the tapered washers supplied in the kit into the lag bolts not supplied Insert bolts through mounting holes and tighten into pre drilled floor openings Install the four bolt caps on tapered washers If necessary cut wall bolt length to size before installing caps Smooth off the bead of sealant around base Remove excess sealant A CAUTION DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN NUTS MORE THAN REQUIRED FOR A SNUG FIT i INSTALL TOILET SEAT Install toilet seat in accordance with manufacturer s directions 730419 100 Rev D 2 TANK WATER INLET A WASHER _ e FLEXIBLE Pi SUPPLY COUPLING NUT 7 VALVE NUT s COMPRESSION COLLAR CONNECT WATER SUPPLY a Connect water supply line between shutoff valve and tank water inlet fitting Tighten coupling nuts securely Turn on supply valve and allow flushometer tank to fill Check for lea
5. gish flush Toilet leaks POSSIBLE CAUSE Water supply valve closed Flush actuator incorrectly set Supply line blocked Trip lever linkage damaged Supply valve partly closed Plugged inlet strainer Supply pressure too low Partially clogged trapway and or drain pipe and or vent Malfunctioning pressure regulator Poor supply line connection CORRECTIVE ACTION Open valve and allow water to fill tank Follow instruction to adjust flush actuator Shut off water supply disconnect supply line and inspect all gaskets and washers Reassemble Check trip lever linkage and actuator wire assemblies for damage Open supply valve fully Be sure that proper supply tube size is used Remove and clean strainer per enclosed instructions Normal supply pressure must be at least 20 psi Remove obstruction Consult a plumber if necessary Replace lower supply assembly Review Step 9 of installation procedure Poor bowl to tank floor connection Review Step 4 through 7 of installation procedure Toilet does not shut off Supply pressure too low Flush actuator incorrectly set Normal supply pressure must be at least 20 psi Follow instructions to adjust flush actuator AMERICAN STANDARD ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY If inspection of this American Standard plumbing product within one year after its initial installation confirms that it is defective in materials or workmanship American Standard will repair or at its opti
