DP750 User s Manual 6 Turn the ribbon knob in the direction of the arrow to remove any slack from the ribbon so it is easier to install Ribbon cartridge JMR121 Ribbon knob Ribbon nip Ribbon core Figure 2 8 Ribbon cartridge 7 Insert the ribbon cartridge into the printer as shown then press both sides of the cartridge down firmly to fit the plastic hooks into the printer slots Ribbon knob Ribbon cartridge Poles on the carriage frame _ Ribbon nip ff Metal guide vane Figure 2 9 Installing the ribbon cartridge 8 Use a pointed object such as a pencil to guide the ribbon between the print head and ribbon guide Turn the ribbon knob to feed the ribbon into place the ribbon should not be twisted or creased 9 Slide the print head from side to side to make sure it moves smoothly 10 Having installed the ribbon lower the sub friction roller and pull the gap adjust lever back to the former position Then close the top cover Note 1 When your print becomes faint you need to replace the ribbon cartridge Otherwise the print quality will be affected and the print head may be damage 2 To remove the old ribbon cartridge first make sure the printer is turned off move the print head to the center of the printer Then hold the ribbon cartridge handle on both sides and lift it out of the printer upwards Install a new one as the above steps 3 Never move the print head while the printer is on otherwise
