Manual multimaster CAS 52 38 Service Instructions Basic Setting of the Roller Potentiometers R10 to R21 Each setting knob from no 1 to no 5 is associated with a certain pair of fold rollers whereas setting knob no 6 is associated with the slitter delivery shafts The gap between the fold rollers or delivery shafts with respect to each other are trans formed into an electrical voltage value by the potentiometers These voltage values are recognized by the microcomputer system and shown as the actual value on the display In the basic setting of the fold rollers and delivery shafts with all the scales of the setting knobs pointing to 0 the actual value of the roller gaps on the display must show 0 00 Adjustment ofthe basic setting for a roller potentiometer 1s needed when a the actual value on the display shows a plus or minus value instead of 0 00 with the setting knobs pointing to 0 b a defective potentiometer was replaced by a new one Proceed as follows for setting the basic position of a roller potentiometer The associated fold rollers or delivery shafts must be in their basic positions The scale of the setting knobs must be in the 0 position To a Loosen the Allen screw 1 at the upper collar on A the threaded rod of the adjustment plate by means of a 2 mm key At the same time push the potentio meter 2 slightly upwards and hold it there Turn the second knurled collar 3 at the potentio meter shaft
