40. products connected to the control terminal or simultaneous UP DOWN or STOP control of a number of them or all of them As explained above intensive control makes it possible to control more than one product freely from a distance Connection Method The products realize intensive control by incorporating the Ethernet and TCP IP into the products The Ethernet is presently the most popular LAN system The LAN connection of the product is enabled by supporting the Ethernet Furthermore PC communication is enabled with the TCP IP and conventional PCs can be used for communication with ease by supporting a variety of communications protocols such as the HTTP TELNET SMTP POP and NNTP Besides a PC can be used as the control terminal This means there is no need to prepare a dedicated control terminal The Ethernet protocol makes it possible to allocate an IP address to each device connected to the LAN Accordingly the protocol allows communication with all the devices respectively thus enabling such individual control A variety of methods are available to LAN connection through the Ethernet For example the intranet shown in Fig 2 can be constructed In this case a mail server and PCs are installed in the intranet and the respective products and PCs are provided with a mail address each Then mail is transmitted to the products that need to be controlled When the products receive the mail the products will read the contents of the mail and

42. xternal Panel Switch to Each Roll Screen and Curtain Rail The input circuit of the roll screen is shown Fig 1 1 and the circuit of the curtain rail is shown in Fig 1 2 In order to use the external panel switch in UP STOP and DOWN control it is necessary to drive the diodes connected to the UP STOP and DOWN terminals shown in Fig 1 1 and Fig 1 2 As shown in Fig 1 1 the internal control circuit of the roll screen is photo coupler insulated Therefore an independent 24 VDC power supply is required to drive the diodes As shown in Fig 2 1 the external panel switch is in UP STOP and DOWN control when the diodes are driven with the positive terminal of the 24 VDC power supply connected to the COM terminal and the negative terminal short circuited with each terminal through appropriate switching parts Although the internal circuit of the curtain rail is photo coupler insulated no external power supply is required because the diodes are driven by the internal power supply of the curtain rail as shown in Fig 1 2 External switch connections to the curtain rail are shown in Fig 2 2 Panel switches with momentary specifications are selectable such as Matsushita Electric Works WTC5498W switch and WTC7101W plate for both roll screens and curtail rails ALL Operation with Panel Switch ALL operation refers to the UP STOP and DOWN control of a number of roll screens and curtain rails simultaneously with a single panel switch P
