Select the setting that fits the size of load you are washing See page 11 for load size and water levels To Change Wash or Rinse Temperatures The washer is programmed to automatically provide a warm wash and cold rinse in every selection If another wash or rinse temperature is wanted touch the pad that corresponds to the temperatures wanted The wash water temperature can be changed any time during the first fill A cycle selection must be selected before HOT WASH or COLD WASH options can be accepted IMPORTANT To save energy and receive the most wrinkle free results use a cold rinse for all fabrics When one indicator light comes on but another goes off this tells you the second selection has canceled the first TIME UP TIME DOWN To Change the Wash Time The TIME Display shows the total amount of wash agitation time selected When the first fill begins the display changes to AU indicating automatic operation Any time during wash agitation the TIME UP or TIME DOWN pad can be touched The display will show the number of minutes left in wash agitation During the final spin the display changes to show the number of minutes left until the cycle is finished and the load can be removed When a Cycle Selection is touched the amount of wash agitation time will appear in the TIME Display The wash agitation time which appears is the recommended time for that cycle for normally soiled items I

Be sure fabric is washable shrink resistant and colorfast before washing e Select water temperature and cycle according to type of fabric e Shake or vacuum to remove loose dirt Pre wash or soak if badly soiled e Wash small loads Crowding will cause wrinkling Dry in dryer or on the line Replace slipcovers on furniture while still slightly damp They will dry to fit tightly IMPORTANT Sun damaged curtains and draperies will tear whether hand or machine washed Diapers and Baby Clothes e Rinse immediately Soak diapers in a solution of lukewarm water and a small amount of detergent until you are ready to wash them e Treat spots and stains before washing e Spin excess water from diapers before washing e Wash diapers follow the Water Temperature Guide for white cottons and linens page 7 e Wash small items in a mesh bag IMPORTANT You may wish to use bleach or a special soaking product for soaking diapers Do not use liquid fabric softener every time Overuse of fabric softener reduces the absorbency of diapers Elastics Elastics pick up oil from the body Since oil damages elastics wash often to help reduce the damage e Use warm enough water and sufficient detergent to remove oils Dry at lowest dryer temperature setting Remove from dryer while slightly damp 27 Flame Retardant Finishes Some items may be treated to improve their resistance to burning if exposed to flame S
