PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION WARNINGS The parking aid does not relieve you of your responsibility to drive with due care and attention The sensors may not detect objects in heavy rain or other conditions that cause disruptive reflections The sensors may not detect objects with surfaces that absorb ultrasonic waves The parking aid does not detect obstacles moving away from the vehicle They will only be detected shortly after they start to move towards the vehicle again Take particular care when reversing with rear fitted accessories e g a bicycle carrier as the rear parking aid will only indicate the distance from the bumper to the obstacle If you use a high pressure spray to wash your vehicle only spray the sensors briefly from a distance not less than 8 inches 20 centimeters Note Keep the sensors free from dirt ice and snow Do not clean with sharp objects Note The parking aid may emit false tones if it detects a signal using the same frequency as the sensors or if the vehicle is fully laden Note The outer sensors may detect the side walls of a garage If the distance between the outer sensor and the side wall remains constant for three seconds the tone will switch off As you continue the inner sensors will detect rearward objects Ecosport CBW India PARKING AID WARNINGS To help avoid personal injury please read and understand the limitations of the system as contained in

Driving Aids STEERING Electric Power Steering WARNING Obtain immediate service if a system error is detected You may not notice any difference in the feel of your steering but a serious condition may exist Failure to do so may result in loss of steering control Note Your vehicle is equipped with an electric power assisted steering system There is no fluid reservoir to check or fill The electric power steering system operates by an electric motor which reduces the effort on the driver s steering wheel The system operates progressively and during maneuvers the system leaves the effort lighter As the vehicle speed increases it reduces its action to improve the control of the vehicle The electric power steering system has diagnostic checks that continuously monitor the system to ensure proper operation When a system error occurs a message will appear in the information display If this happens stop the vehicle in a safe place and switch off the engine After at least 10 seconds reset the system by restarting the engine and watch the information display for a steering message If a steering message returns or returns while driving take the vehicle to an authorized dealer to have it checked If your vehicle loses electrical power while you are driving or if the ignition is turned off you can steer the vehicle manually but it takes more effort Extreme continuous steering may increase the e
