OWNER S MANUAL FOR RANGE ROVER REMOTE CONTROL ENGINE STARTER WITH EXTRA KEY IN HIDDEN LOCATION e The system remotely starts the Range Rover to warm the engine and warm or cool the interior to your pre selected temperature e Door lock control is still achieved even though the Range Rover buttons are designed not to operate when the vehicle is running e For safety the remote starter will not respond if the hood is open e The system is timed to shut off after 25 minutes if it is forgotten To Operate the Starter Press and hold the START STOP button on the transmitter until the blue light turns off 3 5 secs The parking lights will flash to confirm receiving the signal Five seconds later the vehicle will start the parking lights will flash and then stay on to show the vehicle is running Unlock the doors by pressing the START STOP button for one second Enter the vehicle and drive off as usual The system looks for and assumes you have your regular key on you to continue proper operation Folding Side View Mirrors Because the Range Rover key fob was not used to unlock the doors you will have to press the button on the door to reposition the mirrors To Turn Off the Starter Once running the starter can be shut down by pressing and holding the START STOP button again for 3 5 seconds If left unattended it will shut down automatically after 25 minutes Normal Locking The Range Rover key should always be u2. sed for normal locking and setting of the alarm system Rear Hatch Release When the vehicle is running on Remote Start the Range Rover key is inoperative Unlock the vehicle by pressing the START STOP button Then the rear hatch can be opened with the manual release button IF ALL THE KEYS TO THE VEHICLE HAVE TO BE SUPPLIED FOR SERVICING PLEASE GIVE THIS TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT e THE KEY FOB USED FOR THE REMOTE ENGINE STARTER IS LOCATED BEHIND THE TRIANGULAR PANEL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CONSOLE PICTURED BELOW e THE ORIGINAL BATTERY AND BATTERY TRAY ARE WITH THE KEY PULL OUT THE WIRED COPPER BATTERY BYPASS THEN INSERT THE BATTERY TRAY WITH THE BATTERY e REINSTALL THE COPPER BYPASS AND KEY FOB WHEN DONE
