Digital Printers Replacing the Press Roller Technical Note 10100142 Rev A 10100142 A Matan Digital Printers Ltd Page 1 of 6 arak Safety Procedures Before reading this Technical Note please refer to the section on Safety Procedures in the Barak User s Manual About this Technical Note This Technical Note describes the procedure for replacing the PRESS ROLLERS on the Barak printer Replacing the Press Rollers pa There is no need to turn off the printer before carrying out this procedure EE 1 Remove the front PRESS ROLLER LIMITER at each end of the Roller Do not remove the rear one Do not dismantle the Rear Limiter Dismantle only the Front Limiter from both sides 2 The limiter is assembled to the main frame with two screws and two pins 10100142 A Matan Digital Printers Ltd Page 2 of 6 arak 3 Dismantle the screws approaching them from the internal main frame as shown below Two holes on the Power Arm that enable you to remove the screws 4 Repeat this procedure on the other side of the PRESS ROLLER 5 Together with another person carefully remove the limiters and remove the PRESS ROLLER from the printer 10100142 A Matan Digital Printers Ltd Page 3 of 6 10100142 A 6 7 Remove the press roller from the plastic rollers Position the new PRESS ROLLER carefully and close the limiters as described above but in reverse Move t2. he PRESS ROLLER UP and DOWN to make sure nothing is blocking it Check that the pistons are being activated upward downward simultaneously If they are not you should make the necessary adjustments to the PISTON S AIR REGULATORS Matan Digital Printers Ltd Page 4 of 6 Barak Appendix A Damage Report Form not for Print Head Details of faulty part The Printer s Serial Number is displayed on the label located at the rear of the printer near the left end of the rollers as shown below 10100142 A Matan Digital Printers Ltd Page 5 of 6 ee History biil 10000049 F Taylor Technical Writer 25 07 10 Cataloging eT 10100142 A Matan Digital Printers Ltd Page 6 of 6
