Instructions for Assembly The product is delivered in the package not fully assembled Before using the chair for the first time the following assembly steps must be done see the diagram on page 4 1 Turn the armrests to the back and insert the backrest in the stainless steel tubes of the chair Push it down until it strikes the stops of the lower chair frame 2 Swivel the armrests to the front until they click into the slot at the backrest and the pins in the lower frame click in as well 3 For assembly of the grip wheel and brake See Supplement BA No 02 07 061B GB 4 Turn the footrests to the front until they click into position 5 Flip down the foot carrier plates First time Use The chair is now ready to be used When using the chair for the first time the following must be observed Swiveling the Armrests By pulling out the click pin the stop is released and the armrest may then be swivelled back Adjusting the Footrests Push the footrests to the desired position Next install the footrest adjustment model dependent under the footrest at the desired height onto the chair leg Folding Away the Footrests Next swivel the foot carrier plates upwards and slightly lift the footrest The footrests can now be folded away to the front or back Removing the Footrests First remove the shower commode chair seat Lift up the footrests about 10 cm until above the horizontal frame brace and rotate it 90 to the outside Now

4. 3 Supplement Standard Equipment 3 Assembly Grip Wheels Brakes Installing the Brakes Locking Brake e Remove the screws from the bushing under the long side piece of the chair Fig 2 e The wheel brakes right left are in the accessory bag Fig 1 e For installation the brake pad must be facing outwards Fig 3 e Screw on the carrier angle wheel brake onto the long side from below Fig 1 Fig 2 Fig 3 ee Installing the grip wheel by screwing on standard design e Remove the nut from the screw on the wheel and remove the washer e Hold the grip wheel in front of the adapter bushing which is in the wheel receptacle on the rear chair leg Fig 4 e Push the screw all the way through the adapter bushing Fig 5 e First insert the washer in the back side and then turn the nut on the screw Fig 6 e Screw the nut on tightly with a socket wrench on the back side while countering with a ring wrench on the front side Fig 7 Adjusting the Wheel Brake Locking Brake e By slightly loosening the screws the carrier angle with elongated holes may be moved e Push the wheel brake lever forwards Fig 8 e Push the carrier angle brake pad firmly against the grip wheel e Now push the wheel brake lever back to the rear and push the carrier angle about 5 mm towards the grip wheel Fig 9 e Firmly tighten the screws that secure the carrier angle e Check the function of the wheel brake e f the

Grip Wheels Shower Roll Chairs may be used in wet areas The shower wheelchairs may be used where the normal use of or access to a typical household bathtub or shower is no longer possible due to physical limitations of the patient The shower must be designed so that the shower wheelchair can be driven into it The shower wheelchairs are made of a corrosion resistant frame with 2 big grip wheels in the rear and 2 full rubber swivel castors up front The rear wheels are outfitted with a brake The armrests can be swivelled out and the footrests may be removed or folded away The backrest and the seat are waterproof On some models the seat and backrest are also padded Commode Wheelchair Grip Wheels Commode wheelchairs may not be used in wet areas The commode wheelchairs may be used where the normal use of or access to a toilet is no longer possible due to physical limitations of the patient The commode wheelchairs are made of a plastic covered frame with 2 big grip wheels in the rear and 2 full rubber swivel castors up front The rear wheels are outfitted with a brake The seat has a toilet like opening under which a toilet basin with cover can be inserted Shower and Commode Wheelchairs Grip Wheels A shower and commode wheelchair is a combination of both uses It can be used for the above described purposes Care and Maintenance Request Maintenance Manual BA No 02 10 071 GB The chair should be cleaned with a commercially available
