Auto Clipping Tool 1 1 HEELS 3 3 1 3 2 3 Getting Started Getting Started Starting the Auto Clipping Tool To start the Auto Clipping tool double click the ACT shortcut on the desktop An icon is added to the Windows task bar At first opening the AutoClipping Settings window opens and the task bar icon is red E because some configuration is needed See section Configuring the Auto Clipping Tool on page 5 Once the Auto Clipping tool has been configured the task bar icon is green To exit the Auto Clipping tool right click the ACT icon on the task bar and select Quit AutoClipping Tool Configuring the Auto Clipping Tool Purpose To be able to use the Auto Clipping tool some configuration is required This is done from the AutoClipping Settings window which is accessed in one of the following ways e at first start of the Auto Clipping tool when configuration is needed e by right clicking the ACT icon on the task bar and by selecting Settings from the menu e from the main Auto Clipping tool window by selecting File gt Settings e from the main Auto Clipping tool window by clicking e The window is made of five tabs The first two tabs are used for the Auto Clipping tool configuration mandatory See the section hereafter The other tabs are used to define settings optional See section Settings on page 12 EVS Broadcast Equipment SA Issue 6 57 B December 2014 Configuration Param

7. main Auto Clipping tool window if the system works in manual logsheet processing mode In automatic mode the default values will be taken into account to process the logsheets Logsheet Processing Modes Manual Mode Ifthe Activate Logsheets Automatically option has not been selected from the Settings window the logsheet will not be processed when it is received by the Auto Clipping tool This means that the logsheet will not be created in IPDirector Logs received for that logsheet will not be processed either With this mode users are allowed to select a recorder channel a template and or a bin and a logsheet directories different than the default ones Logsheet and logs will only be processed as soon as the Activate Logsheets Automatically option is selected for the logsheet Automatic Mode If the Activate Logsheets Automatically option has been selected from the Settings window the logsheet will be automatically processed as soon as it is received by the Auto Clipping tool In this case users will not be able to modify the default parameters set from the Settings Logs will be processed as soon as they are received by the system as well Process Overview As soon as a logsheet is dropped from the external system into the watch folder IN a line is displayed in the Logsheets pane of the main Auto Clipping tool window The Status pane of the main window gives indication on the status of the process The following screenshots giv
