8. 12 NAT Mappings The configuration of NAT mappings allows IP address mapping of all inbound and outbound NAT d traffic to and from an internal client IP address The settings to configure NAT mappings are located at Advanced gt NAT Mappings Dashboard Network Advanced System Status Apply Changes Advanced m Wi Fi Settings m PepVPN No NAT Mappings Defined m Port Forwarding Add NAT Rule To add a rule for NAT Mappings click Add NAT Rule which displays the following screen LAN Client s D IP Address Address Inbound Mappings Outbound Mappings 10 10 11 125 10 10 11 125 Interface IP NAT Mapping Settings LAN Client s ers PIS rules can be defined for a single LAN IP Address an IP Range or an IP This refers to the LAN host s private IP address The system maps this address to a number Address of public IP addresses specified below in order to facilitate inbound and outbound traffic This option is only available when IP Address is selected The IP range is a contiguous group of private IP addresses used by the LAN host The system maps these addresses to a number of public IP addresses specified below to facilitate Range outbound traffic This option is only available when IP Range is selected The IP network refers to all private IP addresses and ranges managed by the LAN host The Network system maps these addresses to a number of public IP addresses specified below to f

This table is for defining static routing rules for the LAN segment A static route consists of the network address subnet mask and gateway address The address and subnet mask values are in the format w x y z Static Route The local LAN subnet and subnets behind the LAN will be advertised to the VPN Remote routes sent over the VPN will also be accepted Any VPN member will be able to route to local subnets Press to create a new route Press x to remove a route http www pepwave com 15 Copyright Q 2014 Pepwave User Manual PEPWAVE Surf SOHO Router DNS Proxy Settings To enable the DNS Proxy feature check this box and then set up the feature at Network gt LAN gt DNS Proxy Settings table Enable A DNS proxy server can be enabled to serve DNS requests originating from LAN PPTP SpeedFusion peers Requests are forwarded to the DNS servers resolvers defined for each WAN connection This field is to enable DNS caching on the built in DNS proxy server When the option is enabled queried DNS replies will be cached until the records TTL has been reached This DNS Caching feature can improve DNS response time by storing all received DNS results for faster DNS lookup However it cannot return the most updated result for frequently updated DNS records By default DNS Caching is disabled Include Google When this option is enabled the DNS proxy server will forward DNS requests to Google s Publ
