11. ss the or Y Buttons once Flashing Lo will appear and a small icon L will show steadily In the top right comer of the Display Then press the PTT G Button to confirm 3 Repeat above steps to change from LO to HI power transmission mode SCANNING CHANNELS You can use the scanning feature to monitor channels or to find someone In your group who has acckientally changed channels Channel SCAN performs searches for active signals In an endless loop from 1 te 22 1 Press and hoki the SCAN amp Button urti a beep is heard and channel scan starts The Channel Number changes rapidly until an active signal is detected 2 When the radio detects channel acthlly It stops scanning and you can hear the transmission Press PTT G to respond to the active signal channel and CHANNEL SCAN Is deactivated 3 If the scanning steps on a channel that you dant want to listen to briefly press the 4 or to resume scanning b the next active channel 4 To tum scanning off briefly press the O Button once Tum off the two way radio by pressing and holding the L1 Button until a beep Is heard and the display tums off USING THE TORCH Press and hold the TORCH Button to shine the torch Note The torch worka even if the Radio ls switched off NOTES FOR GOOD COMMUNICATIONS 1 Your two way radio usss 22 channels that are shared on a take tums basis This means other groups may be talking on any of the channels A common code of ethics c
