8. the kettle off the base 4 If you remove the kettle during heating before Auto Shut Off the blue indicator lights will turn off If you place the kettle back on the power base you must push the on off button to start the heating process 5 If you change the setting during heating the heater and temperature lights will turn off as the rotary dial is turned When the dial is set at a temperature the temperature and power lights will be steady on 6 If the kettle is ON and no water is detected the heater and temperature lights will turn off This may cause the heating dome to discolor and the glass may become warm 7 Do not leave water standing in the kettle for more than 1 hour Water becomes stale CLEANING e Always unplug cord of power base before cleaning e Make sure kettle is cold e Clean the exterior surface with a clean damp soft cloth e Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring agents e Rinse out kettle and wipe dry with a soft lint free cloth Attention e Over time the stainless steel cover of the heating element inside the bottom of the kettle may change color slightly This is caused by the intense heat of the heating element e If your water has a high iron content brownish stains may appear on the stainless steel element this is also Known as boiler scale These stains can be wiped away with a cloth and a mild abrasive Rinse kettle thoroughly with fresh water DECALCIFICATION Hard water can
