1. The mirror has to be aligned in a 90 degree angle to the driving direction of the vehicle Both rearview mirrors have a right hand thread Place the appropriate mirrow for the right and left side of the scooter in the opening provided If necessary slide the protective cap upwards Turn the mirror about 5 to 6 turns clockwise in the thread and align it Seen from above the mirror should always be aligned parallel to the handlebar Then lock the nut with a 14mm wrench clockwise to lock the mirror Seat yourself on in the driver s position to find the optimal mirror adjustment Slide the cap back down To align the mirror glass release the upper lock with a 17 mm wrench Place the mirror so that you can see what is happening behind you from the driver s position Now lock the upper nut again 33 Operation Driving Starting the engine Starting the engine ake sure that the main switch is in he ON position see page 60 Check whether the throttle is in the zero position Put the ignition key into the ignition Open the steering lock if necessary Pull the rear brake lever Turn the key to the ON position Note the charge indicator After one second the battery level indicators light up Now your KUMPAN is ready Acceleration fr N Side and center stand must be folded up before starting to drive Pull the throttle grip slo
4. conducted in compliance with regulations currently in force Batteries and cables 7 S WARNING Never touch with a ring or a conductive object the poles of the battery RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Each LiFePo4 battery of Kunmpan Electric is equipped with a separate LCD display At any time this display indicates the current charge status of the battery On top of the battery block is a silver button If the button is pressed for several seconds the LCD display is activated First the 188 appears briefly These are all segments which can be 61 shown in the display If the 188 is not fully indicated the display is faulty If the button is pushed and hold for a few seconds the current charge status appears in percentage An empty battery displays only a few percentage points A full battery indicates 100 The display is only an indication of the approximate charge status of the battery the mathematical accuracy is around 10 Especially during loading the display will indicate 100 very rapidly even if the real charge status has only reached 10 Just after a few minutes of charging the LCD display returns to normal status Also the percentages rise slightly immediately after using the battery They will return to a stable level after a few minutes Maintenance Brakes REAR FRONT BRAKE Check

6. batteries Charge the battery after every ride when driving over 3km The smaller he depth of discharge the higher is he lifetime of the battery f possible charge the battery when you stop during your rides for ex ample charge the battery at work tis better to charge the battery 2 imes after a 10 km drive than one ime after a 20km drive The batteries need a few loads in order to reach their full capacity when starting to use a new battery you should any long maximum ran ge testing drives A total and deep discharge complete emptying of the battery may cause damage to the battery IMPORTANT Damage to the battery due to total or deep discharging or handling faults will void the warranty If storing the scooter for a longer time more than 3 months for example over Winter the batteries must be disconnected from the circuit of the scooter to prevent total or deep discharge To separate the battery from the scooter circuit simply remove the connection plug from each battery in the storage area under the seat During longer periods more than 3 months for example over Winter the batteries automatically get discharged by itself through internal chemical processes Therefore the scooter should always be fully charged and the main switch should be turned off After 2 to 3 months the batteries should be charged to avoid a total or deep discharge

9. held by four clips When the four clips are dissolved on the scooter panel pull the chrome cover firstly on the bottom and then on the upper side To remove these clips put on a small backwards screwdriver gently between chrome cover and rear light glass at the loca tions shown Gently press the clips outward u Za To remove the glass loosen and remove the two illustrated screws with a screwdriver counter clock wise 59 Now gently press the two upper To remove the bulb push it with a brackets of the reflector upwards cloth or glove into the socket so that the two notches of the lamp glass are exposed Turn the lamp counter clockwise until it stops and pull it out of the socket In this position pull the lamp glass backwards Maintenance Lighting WARNING Always hold the functional lamps just on the socket never touch the glass directly This could greatly affect the life time of the bulb Damages caused by own fault will void the warranty Single components are tightly fitted and difficult to reach Some bulb changes might need a more complex dismantle ment procedure Therefore vehicle repairs should always be carried out by a specialized workshop Bulb information Rear light lamps BA15D 12V 15 5W Dead batteries harm the environment Collection and disposal must be
10. in any helmet you buy USA only and always wear a face shield or gogles to protect your eyes and help your vision Additional riding gear In addition to a helmet and eye protection we also recommend 1 Boots worn correctly with an anti slip sole to protect your feet and calves 2 Leather gloves to keep your hands warm and help prevent blisters cuts burns ans scraped skin 3 A motorscooter riding suit or jacket to com fort as well as protection Bright colored and reflective clothing can help make you more noticeable in traffic Be sure to avoid loose clothes that could get caught on any part of your motorscooter ACCESSORIES The vehicle owner is personally liable for the selection and installation of accessories Be extra careful when installing accessories that they don t affect the fuctionality of any other part of the vehicle It is important to not use any acces sories that affect the controls be cause this may extend your reaction time in an emergency Make sure that the equipment is well fastened to the vehicle to prevent dangerous situations while driving Never use electrical devices that may influence the Power output of your vehicle There is a risk that the vehicle suddenly stops or that there is a pow er outage and the horn turn signals and lights can not operate properly Kumpan electric recommends to use only original accessories 11 CHARGE Always load the vehicle very care

13. s safety systems in par ticular components associated with the turn signals rearview mirrors the lights and the horns Any modifi cation to the vehiule renders the warranty null and void Do not modify the engine in order to increase its power This could lead to irreparable damage to the engine compromising its performance and manageability of the vehicle leading toa fall serious injuries and even death For vehicle repairs use only original kumpan spare parts and accessories Operation Driving Basic safety rules The use of aftermarket accesso ries and spare parts can seriously compromise the safety of your scooter and impact its performance stability and use All modifications that impact the performance and safety of the vehicle render the warrenty null and void For the above reasons tampering with the emission and noise control systems is prohi bited by law and can be penalized by extremely high fines In some coun tries states the use of the helmet is obligatory under the law and in all countries the vehicle must be correct ly registered with a current license plate In many countries a special driver s license is required for motorcycles and it is illegal to drive scooter without one This scooter was not designed to have a sidecar or to pull trailers other scooters motorcyles or bicycles Kumpan does not produce sidecars or trailers and for this reason is not able to predict the conseque

16. the best clothing and helmey cannot protect you in case of a fall or collision with other vehicle Protective clothing will protect you from scratches and abrasions but their protective ability is minimal in the case of impact Make sure you have all the requirements under local law including driver s license minimum age adequate preparation insurance taxes registration license plate etc As soon as you re ceive your vehicle familiarize yourself with it practicing in an area wit h minimal traffic Avoid riding your vehicule in areas with high levels of traffic untill you have obtained ano opti mum level of experience and are completely sure of your ri ding skills In most countries it is illegal to drive on highways with a scooter of these dimensions Before entering these types of roads make sure that it is legal to ride on them New scooters need to go through a careful run in procedure See the associated section RUNNING IN Before starting the engine make sure that the brakes transmission and throttle control function properly and that the fuel and oil supply is adequate The ex haust system brakes and other components can become hot while riding Do not touch these components Taking some medeci nes or drugs either under a doctor s prescription or illegality as well as drinking alcohol increases the risk of an accident notably Do not ride under the effect of alcohol or medecine whethe

18. when the engine is too hot or acable is defect in the engine 2 Battery This icon will light up when the battery voltage is too high or too low 3 Controller If this symbol lights the control unit is malfunctioning or a cable connection between the motor and control unit is defective In any case you should schedule an inspection with your KUMPAN store or dealer to solve the problem Blue display indicators e Cruise control This indicates that your KUMPAN is running in cruise control e Boost mode This confirms that your KUMPAN activated the Boost function to enab le more acceleration of the motor e Triple battery status display This display informs the driver while driving about the charging status of the LiFePo4 battery packs used 23 Each display provides information on the remaining capacity of each separate battery If no battery is connected on the corresponding cable under the seat or the connected battery is completely empty the display icon stays dark Once the icon is lit a functioning battery is connected The icon bars provide information about the capacity Once the capacity of the battery reaches the end the last red bar flashes Your KUMPAN scooter is constantly trying to empty the available batteries equally Therefore the most powerful battery will always be discharged prior to the possibly weaker batteries This is also noticeable in the display During driving of the scooter and usage

ARNING The rack is designed exclusively for transporting objects such as bags Never transport people or animals on the rear rack Always be sure that the load is safely secured Maintenance Lighting FRONT LIGHT The front light unit with reflector Loosen the bottom two by pulling the socket and chrome cover is secured unit forward and upward The main switch must be in the with four other clips OFF position see page 60 Now release the two top clips by gently pull the unit down and Loosen the central screw of the front forward light at the bottom of Chrome cover with a screwdriver The front light is connected by a cable counter clockwise to the vehicle electronics Now release the connections To change the low beam light source you need to remove the large connec tor on the back of the reflector WARNING Make sure that the front light glass is not damaged in this position and is on a soft surface Remove the connector by pulling it gently backwards Now remove the splash guard by pulling it on one of the ears back wards 53 Maintenance Lighting The bulb is locked with a steel spring in the reflector Loosen it as shown in the drawing Remove the bulb from the reflector For installation simply proceed in reverse order WARNING Always hold and touch the functio nal lamps just

S Warning Do not disassemble the front and rear shock absorber The shock absorbers have preloaded springs Disassembly can cause serious injury and even death BRAKE FLUID Warning Brake fluid is extremely poisonous Never allow brake fluid to be ingested or swallowed Should brake fluid accidentally be swallo wed drink large quantities of milk or pure water and immediately seek professional medical assistance Brake fluid is highly destrutive to skin and eye tissue Should you accidentally spill brake fluid on yourself remove the contaminated clothing wash your body with soap and warm water immediately and seek professional medical assistance Should you acciden tally splash brake fluid into your eyes flush with a large quantity of cool clear water and immediately seek professional medical assis tance Keep brake fluid away from children BATTERY HYDROGEN GAS AND ELECTROLYTE Warning Vehicle batteries give off noxious and explosive gases keep cigarettes flames ans sparks away from the battery Provide adequate ventilation when operating or recharging the battery During recharging or use make sure that the room is properly ventilated and avoid inhaling the gases released during the recharging 15 The battery contains sulfuric acid elctrolyte Contact with the skin or eyes may cause serious burns Always wear protective clothing rubber gloves and tight fitting goggles or a face shield w
23. ach their full performance after the first 100 kilometer of usage Boost fuction f Ne For the even sportier driver the KUMPAN is equipped with a boost switch Ka The combination switch Tempomat Neutral Boost on the right side of the electrical controls activates the boost mode with the driver s right thumb If the selector switch is pushed to the right the Boost mode is activated In the digital cockpit the function is J confirmed by the indication of a blue symbol double arrow Your KUMPAN can now accelerate with higher power than in the normal driving mode This uses slightly more energy from the battery so that the battery range decreases accordingly When using the brakes the boost mode will stop immediately After using the boost mode for 10 to 15 seconds it will automatically switch off The blue icon disappears and your KUMPAN waits for new commands 43 Cruise control a N _ 2 CAUTION We recommend in any case to leave the right hand constantly on the handlebar This will allow you to use the brakes at any time Any other movement with your right hand should be avoided Always observe the traffic espeaci ally when the cruise control mode is activated Cruise control is only a function to allow the driver to keep a constant speed The driver always has the responsibility for the speed driven and braking in time Don t u
